Look at the Scum players I've highlighted. Pure huns. 9 out of that starting XI. Pure home-grown huns that WANT to win old firm games, that WANT to score against Celtic. People that have been huns their whole lives and absolutely LOATHE Celtic. Players that play for that horrific RFC badge and absolutely love it and know what winning an OF game means.​

Now compare that to our team:​

The players I've highlighted in that team are the only ones I think are home grown Celtic fans (minus Brown because he was a hun but he's definitely a Celtic man now). Look at the difference in those starting XIs, no * wonder we've lost the league the last 3 seasons.​

Look at the difference in the way Laughatme and Naibaws celebrated their OF goals compared to the way Hooper celebrated his. ​

Those two huns were absolutely desperate to score in that OF match. They wanted to score more than Hooper did anyway or anyone else in our team.​

We lack players that know what it means to play for Celtic and know what OF matches mean and how important they are. Home grown players that are willing to fight for the cause. Proper Celtic fans in the Celtic team is what we lack. ​

 

Lee Wallace is not a Hun. He is a Hibs supporter. Steven Whittaker isn't a Hun either.

 

I remember reading somewhere that Ki said he's a Celtic fan, and he kissed the badge too.

But aye, the huns have got a lot of huns in their team.

 

I agree that, they obviously have more players in their squad who grew up supporting them but to say Naismith & Lafferty wanted to score more than Hooper did, based on celebrations that day, is ridiculous.

 

Have to say though out of our team Izzy, Kayal, Ki, Ledley and Hooper would still be first on my teamsheet.

Then Mulgrew, M. Wilson and Forrest.

They might be doing better just now, but i believe our group of players has a greater potential as a footballing side, it's about Lenny getting all our players back to their best. And i'd rather that than 11 home grown celtic fans who play dreadful but scrape ugly 1-0 wins all season.

 

This is quite a good point. Didnt realise how big a difference it was between the two teams. Right now it just means more to those dirty * to win OF games, which is very worrying

 

I'm confident they will be R*ngers men now. AND they're Scottish so they know what an OF match means. They'll * hate Celtic, I can assure you that.

You can add Ledley to our list, IMO.

He knows the score and I reckon he hates the huns especially after his dealings with them.

You're spot on though, the huns have scores of players who would run through brick walls to put Timmy in his place.

The team 10 years ago often only had 1 or 2 born & bred Hoops fans in the starting XI; Jackie Mac & Lenny etc massively outnumbered by other players that learned to appreciate what the Hoops were about, yet despite the different backgrounds, none would doubt that Henke, Lubo, Thommo, BBJ & Sutton et al quickly learned what it meant & these guys were all big 'skelpers.

 

Agree with your post Ciaran, its possibly the biggest factor in why we are doing so poorly!

 

Doubt he hates them as much as Laffferty or Davis or McCulloch hates Celtic.

so because they support rangers thats how they beat us. what a load of *. its because they have a half decent back four and are playing together as a team. we just havent been at the races this season. theres a reason why lennon keeps changing his team, its because he doesnt find it good enough and weve also had terriable luck with injuries. if the huns were missing mc gregor, davis, naismith, jelavic they would really struggle. weve been missing izzy, ledley, kayal, brown plus we have frankenstein in nets and an ever changing backline, thats why weve been gash. in january we need a commanding cb and a target man, too many times weve been found wanting because lennon has no plan B

 

Want to win OF games. Ok, what about us only losing 2 out of 7 last season?

 

Thing is but the huns were full of foreigners then too. BUT the thing about O'Neills team was they knew what playing for Celtic was all about. They loved beating Rangers and had a great mindset from day 1. Big Sutton made one of the best quotes a new Celtic player could ever make when he joined and backed it up superbly with his performances.

 

This is a pointless exercise. How many of these hun skelpers were "home grown Celtic fans"?

Lee Wallace is a Hibs fan(and a Catholic) almost the exact opposite of a Hun. Whittaker is a Hearts fan, a mini Hun but hes a shitebag player so I wouldnt really class him as a hun and Weir doesnt get a game.

The main differance for me is that they have leaders and we dont, our dressing room is pally and mixed where as theirs will have a hierarchy of "been there done it" and the lesser "I want to be one of them" our squad are mostly all new players and dont have the players to look up to.
