Because some fans who didn't attend the game wish to moan and cry.

    Playing with words...

(P)IRA will always be regarded as little more than mobsters by many due to some of them whoring themselves out to drug-dealing, prostitution and theft for a quick buck!

Have you wondered why millions of Irish people left Ireland? Was it the nice planters who left? The protestants? Or was it the native Irish?

Did they come to Scotland because of the weather? They liked the sound of Glasgow?

Sorry to be condescending however it beggars belief. The people left Ireland to get away from the oppression, of course it didn't quite work out as well as they hoped moving to a sectarian country such as Scotland, yet this is the facts. obviously those who stayed fought it out over the next 100 odd years.

Of course! They let the Tones in to film a video and they thought it was a Christmas song.

    Im confused here.

If the songs were illegal how did the polis no jump in and charge the ones singing?

Im sure the new law says we are aloud to sing what we want about ourselves but not songs to offend others like the sectarian bile eman8ing fae ibrox

    am i wrong

That's probably the best example there is.

Napper Tandy, brave and bold, etc etc.

    If you say so.

I'm pretty sure the club knew fine well what was going on.

    No.

I'd wager that the vast majority of the Celtic support at Tynecastle today have Republican sympathies at the very least.

The rebs get a great airing whether we're playing in Gorgie, Motherwell or Inverness.

Has anyone ever been to a game where these have been sung and told someone to their face to stop singing them? If so what was their response.

in a modern society some things are deemed offensive or not PC.
    we dont call asians...*'s anymore.
    or chinese people chinkies.
we dont call the irish micks or paddies
    or black people *

this happened because the wider world deemed them unacceptable. the wider world is telling us that some of our songs are offensive.

I may not be a mod but that's harsh - we're not huns and don't fight amongst ourselves!

So you're saying we can be racist in private but not in public? You're digging a hole for yourself.

    Ministry of British propaganda?

The IRA fought a very good campaign over many years in the face of adversity. So glad we helped and supported them during those tough days.

It that why their communites defended them for decades. For "mobsters" they took on the might of the b.a. and couldnt be defeated. Now their leaders are topping their polls and voted into goverment.

I'm insulted that you regard people here to be uneducated or thick to vote drug dealers into goverment. Wake up and take of your blind fold. :38:
