    Not as shocked as the Pakistani lads.Their coach was just found dead in his room.Looks like he got a beating And appararently there are protests and effigy burnings going on all over the country.

    This thread is called "Cricket World Cup" not "What is your opinion on Cricket?", we have a small congent of fans on this board who want to post about the goings on in the WC and the general excitement that comes about it, they don't need you (a mod no less) coming around trolling the thread.

    * * it's crazy, you don't see us burning effigy's of French players after Yesterday, sad news though and so needless too.

    Was nae found dead in his room sorry.Some are saying he got a beating was found and then rushed to the hospital where he died from a heart attack.

    They are having "funerals" back in Pakistan for the players apparently tho.

    no thats not true, he just had a heart attack in his room and team found him the next morning unconcious, he later died. Dont know much about the man or cricket in general but thats certainly very sad news espeically with the circumstances.

    reports and sky news suggesting that it was a heart attack , but he wasnt that old ... i mean he was alittle but 58 ... hmmm ... :87:

    Means they will get through to the quarter finals. To beat one of the senior teams is brilliant enough but I would love it if Ireland got further than England. That would leave Ed Joyce, who ditched playing for Ireland for England, looking pretty stupid. Real GIRFUY factor!

    Scotland are playing South Africa this afternoon. After Gibbs got 6 6s in one over against Canada I'm slightly worried. But having seen Ireland and Bangladesh do the business you never know.

    LOL it was pretty crazy that result wasn't it. Even crazier Ireland have already qualified for the Quarter-finals. Couldn't care less about cricket really but I am always going to support the national team.
