Thought it was quite obvious to all that Gravesen showed why he should have been playing from the start last night, undeserving of any criticism imo and ffs unless any one of ye has seen his pay slip i'd suggest ye stop listening to the Daily Ranger about his wages and listen to Lawwell who says that every player at the club is within the pay structure. And as for the doesn't even try remark well that's in the realms of the ridiculous.Thought ye had more sense keltoi

I thought O'Dea was better than Mick all night. That's not to say Mick wasn't any good, he had a good game definitely.

He didn't have to dive in, just go to the ball a bit quicker instead of allowing Kaka to advance right into penalty box.

IMHO Mick made 2 mistakes. First got a stupid booking, which then led on to the 2nd one. I think he would have stopped Kaka before he got to the box and took a yellow card but because of the first one he didn't. I am not knocking him 4 this as he was brilliant all night as were the others. But if that was one of our players going through you could guarentee he would have been brought down before he reached the box. Heh its all part of the learning curve. One step at a time, I for one will be happy with last 16 again next year, then last 8 after that. This is a fairly young inexperienced team playing in not one of the strongest leagues. We'll come good.

Mick will surely be Scotland 1st choice shortly. He is better than Weir and our Gary and, now, I would even say he is better than Anderson, who also does not get a game (note: conspiracy theorists). Mick has developed into a top class defender. Fit for any EPL team. Only weakness is lack of real pace but he makes up for it in timing etc.

O'Dea was superb last night but like Sno he is still learning. He has looked a little niaive in some SPL games so dont rush him too much. He should be where Mick is now when he gets a season or two more under his belt. There is going to be some competition next year when Mick, Darren, Gary. Kennedy, Cuthbert, Elvis and Bobo are fit. I would punt Bobo, loan out Cuthbert (who is excellent but needs experience now) for a year to another SPL team. Elvis will be usefull as an old hand for one more year to steer the youngest three on. We really dont need to sign anyone for that area of the team unless we are stupidly impatient. No point in a youth policy otherwise.

It was a difficult situation tho innit? When a player like Kaka's running at you there's so many things he could do with the ball. He'd have been ready for the defender to come to him and he'd have dealt with it accordingly. I think once he got space in the first place there's not much the big man could have done, he deffo wasn't at fault imo.

Agree with you Graham, Grav was undeserving of any criticism for his performance. It's a classic case of people holding a grudge and being blinded because of it, seems to happen quite a lot on here

Didnt notice the comment on not trying before I agreed with the comment. He tries big time but has no positional discipline and charges around ball watching. Its a pity cause he has great technique but IMO its a fatal flaw.

if u cant se that grevesen is a fantastic player u are a * TOOL....!!!
lennon should have left with Martin O'Neil the guy is so slow i have seen milk turn quicker than him. not 2 mention the fact he isnt in the right mentle state 2 play football. gravesen was playing in the same team as Zidane, Beckham, Ronaldo, Robinho, Raul, Roberto Carlos, last season and man u wanted him before that so how can he be a bad player. sum celtic fans astonish me when they slag this guy they really dont know a good footballer when they see 1. the drive and determanation he shows is second 2! Grvesen is now match fit he is exactly what wee need he presses the ball wich makes players miss place passes GET OFF GRAVESENS BACK YOU * HOLES....!!!!

your the * tool, how long did graveson come on for about 40 mins or half an hour, and if you think he was anything more than decent as you would expect you must of watched a different game to me. One good half hour and your saying he should be made captain. Look at all his bad performances throughout the season. He isnt good enough, to say he deserves to be captain is completly shocking. We should cut our losses and get rid of him hes a complete liability. CAPTAIN my * !!!:38:

henrik larssons a celtic legend, jinky johnstones a celtic legend , paul mcstay and caesar are legends. People use the word legend a bit to easy, if he definatley has the potential to be a legend in a good few years

O'Dea and Naylor were our best defenders last nite but nobody had a bad game, and that includes Lennon (who is worth another year then Mick can take the armband).

On Tommy G the guy came on and had a good game and was exactly wot we needed at that point, the guy is a good footballer who was off form but is well worth keeping.

The only thing i would have changed bout last nite was takin Naka off, he may not have had his best game but it only takes one kick of a ball with his left foot and we r thro but i still understand why WGS took him off.

All in all we were brilliant last nite and showed we can play away from home in Europe. Heres to next season, wheres next final btw?

He has been a great servant to us, but i think his times up and he should go out on a high knowing that he captained us to the last 16 league and hopefully scottish cup. He should have a testimonial at the end of the season so the fans can thank him for what hes done for us

Am sure the Celtic bigwigs are quaking in their boots!

If it was down to me i'd give Lennon another year, just out of pure spite to everyone who slates the guy constantly.

Well it was obviously sarcasm when you said he should get a testimonial and all that. At least am assuming it was sarcasm......was it? Please say yes :fear:
