Celtic FC vs Udinese FC

such a shame that a dreadful decision has ruined what was a good performance from celtic, i wonder what some folk on here expect at times; do they honestly expect us to go hammer one of the serie a's top sides? really? there was always going to be a second half fight back from them though we handled it admirably imo.

thought the defence was excellent tonight and but for the udinese keeper we would have won that; a much more encouraging performance against good opposition; a draw is no disgrace but gutting when we were so close to a victory

 

not a disaster but still i cant believe how that pen was given. and that samaras, well if he could produce a 10 foot pass we could have won.

Gutted by the penalty, even the english commentators on espn called it 'shocking'. They owe their result to Handanovic and the ref. Handanovic was outstanding.

Ki was good. Beram was Good. Wanyama was very good. The defense was good. Bangura was so-so. Hooper had a mixed bag (He won the penalty but his linkup was erratic, why he didn't pass the ball when he had Bangura and Sammy as options is beyond me). Sammy had the usual mixed bag (blew one pass to put Bangura through, then teed up Hooper/Ki with a great backpass 4 minutes later). Ledley was immense.

well very disappointing!

i think the nlads done very well tonight and were very competitive.

downside..................samaras, how he is still playing i never know.

and of course that dreadfull pennalty decision.

apart from that thought we were good and think it should be the team to start against mini huns on sunday!

 

Football's a contact game and it's not a pen when the player goes over like that looking for a penalty. If that tackles like that were penalties then there should be a min of 20 pens a game

 

look at his play in the 87th minute, just sums up everything i loathe about him

All u muppets who blame Lenny are * Morons!!!...The result was not his blame!!!...The Referee was a complete tosspot and we all know that!!...Sometimes I cringe when I come on here and see Lenny bashing..Blame Sammy all u want but leave Lenny alone.We as a family should stand as one!!

They're keeper kept them in it, I thought we played well, hope Ledley is OK.

Maybe the decision wasn't the best but the team weren't good enough. Didn't create enough chances for the strikers against a very average side.

Gutted. Officials were * all night. The failure of the linesman of put his flag up for their goal left me speechless. 3 or 4 yards offside and he can't see it or he just didn't want to.
