I've been criticised on here before for saying I don't think certain players are anywhere near the value that fans place on them.

I've seen figures of £10m for Hooper, Ki, Kayal and Izzy. I don't believe anyone would pay more than £6m for any of them.

We seem to over hype our players and say they are brilliant...they are NOT.

Ki and Kayal were garbage against a midfield containing EDU and WYLDE.

Agreed. I couldn never believe how some fans thought guys like Izzy, Ki and Kayal were so valuable. They have proved nothing...for me.

People's perceptions of player values go up when players play well and they go down when they play badly. It would take around the £10m mark to get the board to sell some of our better players though.

Don't think Kayal has proved nothing. To me he's proved he's a quality midfielder and IF he had the defense behind him that we should have and other quality players around him I think he would shine.
Wouldn't rate anyone in our team above 6mil though, just believe other leagues know they can buy cheap from Scotland.

They usually get hyped up after playing well against St.Mirren or Kilmarnock, what's the point if they can't perform against good sides?

aye he played well against madrid...a team who were already 1 up and coasting. The slower pace of the game elsewhere would probably suit him.

Either that or the fact that they have crap players around them to work with, and the mistakes of these other players are capitilised on at a greater ratio against teams in Europe than they are against St.Mirren etc.?
I just think Kayal is a quality midfielder, as is Ledley, but without a defense or decent keeper (although some people will argue that) the better players in our side are let down by the rest in the big games.

The keeper wasnt to blame for sundays result. The defence were all over the place and the midfield anonymous.

Goian and Bocanegra are better than what we have. Both cost pennies in scheme of things.

Hes not a brilliant centre half but has loads of experience and is better than we we have, imo. Goian certainly is.

Noone has said the keeper was to blame, but he did * up a few crosses, he doesn't organise the defense at all and if I was playing in front of him i'd be shakey as well because he installs no confidence in anyone.
I just think the transfer window was a joke...we identified 3 areas that needed sorting...a keeper, defender & striker. Ok so got a striker and I hope he does ok but that was it. We got a keeper on loan again and Wilson who was essentially signed in January, we needed 1 more decent centre back in my opinion. We had the foundation to build on to make a great team we just chose not too and now we're paying the price for it.

I think its a myth that keepers install nerves in defenders tbh....if you are a capable centre half you are going for the ball thinking you are winning it.

The defence need to sort themselves out. Their starting positions in this zonal set up was all wrong. Not the keepers fault.

Izzy is about 12m and if you add potential to forest i reckon we could get 10m for him
