Neil Lennon....

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Officer Doofy, Sep 18, 2011.

  1. Not reconsidering anything. The ONLY two players I will give any sort of recognition to in that lot is Jellybean and McGregor. The rest play well on OCCASION and unfortunately on THIS occasion they just played better, as a team, than us.

We've been slating them on how bad they have been this season but yet as soon as they win against us they are suddenly better? So we got * overnight and they got better overnight, is that it? Don't think so, so I'll keep my original opinion but thanks for the offer of reconsideration :50:

  2. the huns have better players, simple

we have a crock of *

  3. You could always try not trolling?

Im not moving the goalposts, your just cannot understand what im saying! I cant believe your going into so much trouble to find out my opinion!

Ok then mate, im the "teenager" yet you cant understand what im saying? :97::50:

Im not going to type it any more, I think ive said it enough times.

  4. Thats my point as well :50:

  5. :50:

  6. Probably for the best. You'll end up in Oz the more you keep digging.

    You're*

  7. :97:

Ok then mate, save a space for me, your already there :50:

  8. You're.

  9. We have dug ourselves into a hole, and it going to take some getting out off.The truth begins when we realise that the opposition is not the * many of us deludingly keep repeating to ourselves and others on this forum. Rangers look more solid as a team to me from front and back than us, and have paid the money to get themselves a World class striker and two good experienced centre backs, we have done neither and have opted for the cheap options or some obscure signings on the back of some former player's recommendations.

I am not at all convinced that Lennon has it in him to be a good manager, as I don't like some of the traits he is displaying during his now two year tenure, but we have to pish with the * we have so as to speak. It is time for Lennon to stop playing Samaras and Hooper together for they play like a divorced couple, one good game against Rangers out of six is not good enough " The definition of Insanity is to keep doing the same thing expecting a different result the next time "

Mark Wilson is not good enough to be our right back, he is a poor tackler and lacks pace, Gregg Wylde was always going to have the beating of him today, and indeed the Ranger's goals and danger all came down the left side of our defence.Adam Matthews should have been played right back to combat Wylde's speed and accuracy of cross. Why didn't Lennon, Mjalby and Thompson forsee this ? if I could see it happening, McCoist and McDowall would too.

Forster is not good enough to be our No.1 goalkeeper, he never once came out for any of those crosses today, and he is easily beat rooted to his line.No Celtic goalkeeper should be conceding four goals to Rangers IMO. Zaluska had done no wrong, and must be back in right away, and sign Craig Gordon in January.

And why is our top goalscorer Anthony Stokes relegated to the bench for Rangers and European games all the time ? There is absolutely no justification for this by Lennon, and I can only surmise Lennon has his favorites in the team, no matter what their form is, to the detriment of the team.

Samaras was not the worse player on the park by any means today, and he should have been played left midfield from the outset in a 4-4-2, that would have allowed us to play BOTH Stokes and Hooper upfront, and Joe Ledley should have replaced Ki for this game in midfield.

Can we still do it, I am not in the business of building up false hopes and expectations, but with the right management and decision making there is still a chance, but Rangers will be fired up with this win, and not many teams will take points off them I suspect.

The question now is, does Lennon have it in him to change his ways, and does he has the intelligence and quickness of mind to put in place the changes and tactics that will be necessary to overhaul Rangers ?

  10. Go looking I wasn't one that was predicting a win today, thought it might be a draw!

Mcgregor is better than Forrester, Goian and Boakanegra look a far better partnership singuarly and collectively than Wilson and Loovens, Whittaker looked more solid on ground and in the air than Badr. Davis was all over Ki, albeno was far more effective than Mulgrew out wide, and Laugherty against Samaras, at least the big lanky streak off * can actually do what he's paid for i.e. put the baw in back of the net.

    You dae the maths mate:38:

  11. Can the pair of you knock it off please!

  12. How American.

Knocked off. My brain was about to combust trying to decipher what he was saying anyway.

  13. Played 10 completive games this season won 5 not good enough

  14. Lenny is putting a nail in the coffin of his celtic career as a manager evertime he puts samaras in the startin 11. Until he learn to stop putting this usless fud in the starting 11 he is on borrowed time and excuses!! End of the day he is not consistent enough 1 ggo game mean * all over the season counts!!

  15. The huns do not have better players, but their manager played them in their right positions and got fire in their bellies, things we were lacking today, i seriously believe a 442 playin our strongest players available for each position would have beat that mob today

  16. Poor team selection yey again, I love the Lennon and back him to the hilt but why should we sit and watch our better team get beat by the lesser team.poor managment....brown in for forrest? 2 lb playing when ledley is fit. stokes was fit enough but samaras plays...* me off. Also I saw mulgrew was about to be sent off why didnt the coaches get him subed off before leaving us with 10?

  17. bye bye

    Thanks for the memories neil!

But yer time is up for me.

(No , im not a * hun poster.)

He has had enough chances but tactically niave for me :54:

Exactley thats the teams mcoist has played all season but lennon seems to play a change team against their formation rather than his own formation(team)

  18. I think their entire defense is better than ours in purely defensive terms. At least McGregor, their CHs Davis and Jellyfish would walk into our team. The only place we (normally) are better is MF. OUr defense is terrible and we lack options up front.

edit-I think we got fooled a bit by our purple patch for 12 weeks last year. Other than that we have not looked a strong side. We have some very weak links.

  19. Where did I predict a win?? :97:

So you're saying those players listed are better than our ones you have listed? Well, as a wise man said once, allow me to retort -

I said I agreed with McGregor, but in saying that who * up in goal today because Forster certainly didn't? None of the goals were his fault at all. Whittaker may have played better than El-Kaddouri but who scored against that superb goalkeeper, McGregor? Oh - how long as El-Kaddouri played for us by the way? Ever heard of a player settling into a team? :50:

Goian and Bocanegra? Well, all I'll say is experience came together on a good day for them and a bad day for us. How well did they play against Maribor?

Not a fair comparison with Samaras and Laughather because we all know what Samaras is like :icon_mrgreen: Now Laughather and Hooper is a different matter. Let's compare those two shall we. Laughather has scored 27 league goals since 2008. Hooper has scored 24 league goals since only last Summer. Hmmmmmmm wonder who the best one is now?

Not a fair comparison with Mulgrew and Gaysmith either because Mulgrew is not a more natural left midfielder. Now Gaysmith against someone like Ledley, McCourt, Forrest or Commons for instance? No comparison is needed I think and before you say "but none of those played today apart from Forrest but only for the last 15 minutes", the way you have posted your replies you're basing it on overall performance, so overall he's not a better player.

Davis dominating Ki in ONE match doesn't make him a better player either and that is what all this is - basing these players on one match - this one - where WE played *. Would you still be of the opinion that they are better if we beat them? I've not got "green tinted" specs on or anything and would be one of the first to say if they WERE better players than us overall but they aren't. The only ones who play consistently better for them are Jellybean and McGregor. Jellybean might actually be an evern better player if he didn't dive so much either.

Also, where were these superb players last year when we were dominating them in the majority of the matches? Funny how they are suddenly better as soon as they beat us so early on in the season in ONE match but before today they were mediocre at best

So after all that YOU do the math :50:
