Surely that headline must fall into the category of inciting sectarian hatred towards neil lennon.

The word hate on it's own doesn't equate sectarianism. Just saying. Out of order headline but it isn't in itself sectarian.

Glad we're not going to co-operate with them, brilliant statement.

I have noticed we haven't been shy in defensing ourselves on the the official site recently.

Another reminder not to buy the rags.

    I know :56:

The thing is when you look at him it's like he's wondering "Hmmmmm shall I have a word him him for doing that or no', even though he's having vile crap chanted at him?" :icon_mrgreen:

Hugh Keevins is shocking for a supposed Celtic man. Listened to bbc your call and at least blue nose Traynor does admit the headline was wrong. Come on Keevins! And Guidi. It's funny they are both more scared of losing their jobs than Traynor. 'You come fae their side, behave or you'r oot!'

Listened to a bit of the programme, by Traynors words I think there may be a response or half baked apology from them in the Sunday rag.

Is this not really a bit of him dishing it back though, mate? They started their * with him and it just got to a stage that anytime they start something with Lennon, he will just give as good as he gets.

I mean I remember when we were playing Dundee at Dens Park about 8 years ago or something and they were constantly booing him and chanting at him. He had enough of it and just gave him the one fingered salute. He got it so he dished it back. Which on a side note makes me laugh but annoys the * out me as well because they boo and chant * at Lenny but as soon as he does anything back, HE'S the bad guy :87:

I know what you're saying though and he should hold back at times, but I just personally think it's who he is and it just got to a stage where he got sick of it all and started giving as good as he was getting.

As for the stupid, ridiculous, moronic, hate-filled headline that that rag put out, well, it's just beyond brain dead to do something like that. IF something happens at the match tomorrow now these arseholes will be the first to condemn it all yet they see fit that it's ok to put out headlines like that? :31:

Rags like The Daily Rankers and The Hun don't help the situation - they add to it and that is what they have done with that moronic headline - they've just poured gasoline on the fire.

Well done to Celtic for once again taking a stance on * like this and sticking up for what's right. I just hope that even IF The Daily Rankers issue and apology Celtic STILL have them banned and tell them to go * themselves.

If it's dished out to him, then who are we to tell him not to give it back? I'm all for standing up for yourself and stuff and if he's getting abuse from the stands, then he's got every right to give some of it back. However, the rags are all the same and as you know, will always make Lenny out to be the bad guy in all of this.

I just think he could do more to draw the attention away from himself sometimes. I know how much of a character he is and don't expect him to ever sit down in an interview and not tell his true feelings, but he definitely could make more effort to stay out of the headlines at times.

For example, there was no need for him to come out and say that he felt the smaller teams in the SPL were lying down to Rangers at the tail end of last season. We all knew and thought it ourselves, but putting it out there the way he did in a live, televised interview just made him and everyone else associated with the club really paranoid.

For once I think we can say that a headline is both anti-Celtic and anti-Rangers. It's completely despicable gutter "journalism" with only one agenda of stoking fires and promoting hatred. I hope Rangers fans stop buying it as much as we are. It's sickening how two-faced and hypocritical tabloid journalists are.

Traynor claimed the ranker has been nothing but supportive of Lennon and it was good on the morning after that verdict. However there are ardent huns like Jackson in the sports team who can't help themselves. Jackson wrote the article Celtic complained about at the start of the season, after the Hibs game where Celtic had a good goal ruled offside and he totally twisted Lennon's words to come up with 'Next time you do that I'll go mad!' or words very similair. I'm sure I remember hearing Lennon wasn't happy about it so Traynor has conveniently forgotton that one. Changing my view on Traynor. Listening to 'your call' on iplayer and a Celtic fan has said to Traynor 'your tone on this issue has changed through the afternoon, he said you were smug about it, then when Regan was anti the story you changed your tune.'

people having a go at the writer of the headline and article and it's right too but

remember that the editor of the record has to sanction this.

i think they've been doing this * for so long that a clear out is needed, they are

incapable of Not Stoking the FIRE

Again I know what you're saying and I do agree that sometimes he says or does the wrong thing and needs to be a bit more tactful in matters like that but I just think it's just who he is. Sometimes I think when he says things like other teams lying down to Hun FC he should have just bitten his tongue but, as we all know, it's just who Lennon is - especially when it comes to the orcs. It's just the nature of him now, especially after all the * that the minions of Mordor have given him over the years.

I think his emotions can get the better of him sometimes and him saying that about other teams lying down was just the same as when Sutton said that Dunfermline layed down to Hun FC back in the 2002/2003 season but what do people expect sometimes when they interview a player/manager right after a match of importance like that because the emotions are still high on losing/winning.

As for the paranoia, well, nothing we, the club or Lennon say or do will ever stop anyone else thinking that we're paranoid. We were right about the refs last year for instance but we were just being paranoid about it all until the whole truth came out :icon_mrgreen:

I'll give you any betting that The Daily Rankers, amongst others, will just think we're being paranoid about the situation IF there's any trouble tomorrow even AFTER they ran a story like that. If there isn't any trouble they will turn round and say "See, timmy was just paranoid about it all". That will never change
