    Don't fully understand it tbh, are we putting players in defence who shouldn't be, or basically just completely ignoring that we have to defend? I know it's for fun, not serious, but don't want to answer until I know this :icon_mrgreen:

    That's not what I'm confused with though. Barcelona do play defenders. In this thread, are we to play midfielders/strikers in defence, or just play a (for example) 0-7-3 formation?

    well assuming your meaning accentuating a team full of football players and no Stoppers like say Balde (old style anti footballer type defenders)

    then i would go like this:

    you need a goalkeeper or it doesn't make sense :

    they play 4 at the back...youve dropped dani alves, he was suspended for that villareal match...
    did keita not play in defence?

    and villa plays up front, messi plays off him/ does whatever the * he wants


    Puyol and Pique would probably be playing if they weren't injured, they have about 5 injured defenders injured they dont play without defenders

    you might as well say they play without strikers because Messi,Pedro and sanchez are all wingers/midfielders

    they will play 4 at the back with everyone fit, but they did play 3 against Villarreal, Keita was in Midfield, and Villa plays on the Left side, not upfront, Messi is through the Centre, although i wouldnt say Barca play with an out and out striker, Messi drops deep, but Villa is deffo outwide


    Anyway on Topic, im not sure what this Thread is about but id play.....

    Villa plays up front...thats like saying sammi doesnt play up front because he spends most of the time out wide too
