Nick De Luca cost us our hopes when he dropped that ball. Useless idiot. Always has been in a Scotland shirt.

Everything that it is to be Scottish rolled into one. Brief hope, glorious chance inexplicably spurned for a try, then the standard late sickener.

If Scotland knew how to score a try they'd have beaten England today. It's frustrating coming so close to beating that mob but the reason we are out is we * up against Argentina.

Aye, and if Namibia had Dan Carter and Brian O'Driscoll they might be decent.

The thing about basically all the european teams is that there is no real urgency from the backs to hit the advantage line. You see big european players jogging in and out of tackle while the likes of ma's nonu and Digby are smashing into the opposition defence at full pace. They really need more inspiration and urgency in their backline moves and running styles.

No hard luck stories for me in the last 2 games, individual mistakes have cost us.

Dan Parks should have recycled the ball with the late chance against Argentina as he clearly wasn't set and all De Luca had to do to get his try today was pick up the * ball after the forwards had done the hard work.

    Pish!

Best 2 teams in the group have gone through, we haven't scored a try in the last 3 matches.

No , if that English ref had been positioned properly he would have seen Contepomi offside, penalty, and Scotland win. But Scotland and most of the Northern Hemisphere teams's backs do not attack the defensive line at pace, and lack the physical presence of the Southern Hemisphere. Can't wait to see the English get *, cause they really are * ! We should of had them today !

    HT - Ireland 9-6 Italy
    FT - Ireland 36-6 Italy

we really turned on the style in the second half and had 2 tries cut off during the game by Tommy Bowe.
    Bring on the Welsh!

Ireland were amazing second half :icon_mrgreen:

Tommy Bowe was really unlucky with those two tries not given. Hope this is Ireland's year.

Wales will be tough but if we beat them you can't help but think we'd be big favourites to make the final which would be an amazing occasion. :shamrock:

Only NZ have scored more than us so far, and only SA have conceded fewer. We're looking very good so far, should be a cracking game vs Ireland next week.

If Australia can up their game then NZ v Australia would be just as good a game. Seeing that in the world cup so early would be a treat :84:
