Sion are taking their case to the court of arbitration for sport, they can overrule FIFA and UEFA.

Yeh but they have already ruled against Sion in the past about the players being ineligible.

That's irrelevant to us, the CAS take about a month or even longer to hear a case.

Why would a Swiss court (or any regular civil court for that matter) have jurisdiction over the question of whether Sion went against the transfer ban imposed on them by FIFA or not. Makes no sense to me to be honest. CAS would make sense, but a civil court? Not really.

Yes, but considering the length of future procedures, I think the best Sion can hope for now is some sort of compensation and that's that.

In any other country it would not matter but UEFA & FIFA HQ's reside in Switzerland and they are bound to the laws of the land like every other entity in Switzerland. Sion will continue to push UEFA/FIFA on this until they get money to shut up.

All part of their case against UEFA and maximise the compensation they will receive over this

Sion got their original transfer ban for tapping up a keeper correct? Sow name the last transfer window the huns DIDN'T tap a player up! I guess since they didn't sign anyway it doesn't apply!

ah go easy, he just came on giving for the most part, an impartial view. Seems like a good bloke, never rose once to the slating that some people (who don't need named) were giving him.

UEFA run the competition and can decide who they want in or out or do what they want anyway can they not? so how could they sue them or get compensation?
