    A civil court in Switzerland has ruled that Sion should be allowed back into the Europa League as Uefa's appeal hearing on the matter continues.


    The Swiss side were thrown out of the competition in favour of Celtic after Uefa found them guilty of fielding ineligible players.


    An independent appeals tribunal is meeting in Switzerland after the side decided to fight the ruling.


    The New district court ruling is UNLIKELY TO AFFECT UEFA'S DECISION

    on the sion fourm and there not as angry as i thought (mabby because traslation)

    there saying

    Auld Neil Lennon Heid (12:30), perhaps the joke Sion could still prove to be a win-win situation for the Celtic ... If Sion lose their appeal, then Celtic will benefit from Europa League football this season . If Sion wins his appeal then it will surely create a legal precedent that UEFA do not have total power to enforce their own rules. And as such, it would probably open an avenue for Celtic to challenge the rules UEFA / FIFA that seem to prevent them from joining a competitive league outside Celtic own national borders, yet supported by the EU regulations for free trade between Member States. Maybe, just maybe, it will be worth sacrificing the campaign Europa League this season for the greater good of our future big club? google translation on the forum of celtic

    no decision till 2 guys, all sion have is some swiss court agreeing with them and them taking that as them being back in something which UEFA has no obligation to follow

    we'll know in 15 minutes..... :/

    they havent.....yet. Sion have announced that some Swiss court has "demanded" UEFA reinstate them, which actually means * all. UEFA have no obligation to follow the rulings of a civil court, there are very clear rules about it.

    I'm hoping UEFA dont look too kindly upon Sion declaring that they're reinstated before an actual decision has been made

    I still find it unlikely we'll be kicked out; if we are we wont go quietly; you'd think UEFA would want to avoid more appeals.

    here's hoping.
