Tough luck, Silvan, good job sticking up for your lads. Glad you were at least able to get some new English out of your efforts :86: Good luck for the future.

The court says they have no jurisdiction to hear the case, and the proceedings are inadmissible. Looking good Bhoys and Ghirls. :shamrock:

Until they submit their appeal to any court in the canton of Vaud which does have jurisdiction over Nyon.

It was a very stupid mistake to appeal to the wrong jurisdiction when time is of the essence.

Interesting to see if Swiss clubs/Swiss FA can have legal standing over UEFA/FIFA rules since their HQ's are in their country.

Apparently six Swiss clubs have held a private meeting over the fact they're * off at Sion fielding ineligible players against them and the fact UEFA said to the Swiss FA they'll maybe ban Swiss teams from taking part in European competition for a bit.

Get it round ye Sion's bawbag Romanov wannabe president! :93:

I don't understand where all this hate for Sion's chairman is coming from?! He has done nothing but good for us in that due to his stupidity we have a second chance in europe which we don't really deserve.

I think the hate comes from the fact that he was trying to do everything in his power (playing inelligible players, filing ridiculous lawsuits, effectively lying to the media, etc) to screw Celtic out of Europe. Yes we lost the game but does anyone believe we'd have lost if they hadn't played those players? I don't but then again maybe if we played them again then Maj would've done something ridiculous again and leave us a man and goal down with 88 minutes to play. Who knows? Anyway, the guy tried to cheat his way past us and got stopped, end of. Let's move on and try and get some respectable results in the group stages.

Aw come on mate, do you think he was doing all that to screw us out of Europe?! He was doing it for his own team, I'm sure it was nothing personal against us.

You're right but the end result of his lying and cheating would've been them through at our expense. If a guy robs me in the street I know he's done it for his own gain and I don't think he's done it personally because he doesn't like me but I still hate the guy, no?
Actually, a more apt analogy might be that you still get mad at Lafferty for dropping to the ground like he was shot to get Mulgrew sent off; he was doing it for the benefit of his team but it's still a * thing to do. Or the Porto players who rolled around on the pitch killing time after they scored their third in Seville, nothing personal against Celtic, just trying to win the match but it wasn't really the honorable thing to do.

pretty bad analogy. I don't think we should forget we got pumped because we were *, it wasn't like they fielded 5 world class ineligble players. If they'd pulled Ibrahimovic on I'd be more annoyed but we should have won that game regardless of who played.

I'm glad we're back in, they did cheat, I just don't think we should forget the main reason we went out before we were let back in.

The player that scored twice for Sion, Feundio or something similar to that, was an ineligible player. Therefore without his goals it would have been a 1-1 draw, with Celtic going through on away goals.

that's * poor reasoning. changing one player for another changes everything, the other might have put away 6.

Haha. This made me laugh :icon_mrgreen: Well played.

Thanks again for posting on here Silvan. I'm assuming that if the case has been deemed inadmissable then it's pretty much over now, so good luck with the rest of your season.

I was justifying the bitterness towards Constantin not justifying our loss. Obviously we were *. It didn't help that the bald-headed * left us a goal and a man down for 88 minutes but it also didn't help that they fielded 5-6 inelligible players, one of whom scored two goals. I'm glad we're through too, I'd probably be * if I was a Sion fan but I'll take what I can get right now. As I've said in the past, we've been the recipient of some pretty * luck and pretty * decisions in the past so I'll take this good fortune and run with it. I'd just as soon stop talking about this and start thinking about how to line up against Atl. Madrid.
