    a) The CAS have already ruled on the transfer ban, UEFA are just upholding it in their competition.
    b) UEFA cover the whole of Europe, they do not have to abide by Swiss law, especially concerning games played in Scotland. It's also against FIFA rules to involve mickey mouse courts.
    c) Or it was written in French because people speak French in Switzerland and they used a translator.

I'm getting sick of hearing about this * of a man Constantin as is the whole of UEFA and FIFA. He's a complete and utter *.

I feel sorry for sions fans more than anything but if sion win this case purley on the fact they are from switzerland and so are uefa and therfore uefa must abide by swiss law then its a * joke. That would mean there would be one rule for clubs in switzerland and not for anyother country.

Uefa is the governing body for all europe so why should they have to let swiss teams away with cheating and not any other country. It would be totally unfair.

Look, I'm not a supporter of Constantin and his methods because he obviously is a nutter. Neither am I his lawyer or so, I just think that people on this forum might be interested in the current discussion in the Swiss press and that is why I write about the articles and list up the arguments.

On the other hand, you also have to admit that UEFA are looking like clowns in this whole affair and that they could have sorted this out earlier.

Just to answer your remark b)
Constantin argues that involving mickey mouse courts is not forbidden when it comes to seeking for provisional measures (due to a lack of time). I looked it up and there is actually a paragraph in the CAS rules about that: http://www.tas-cas.org/rules at the very end. I'm no lawyer, but I think he might have a point here.

    @Commander Gree: Good one!

Wouldnt be a bad idea to be honest but cant see that happening, a think the bottom line is sion were told by eufa or fifa that they were NOT ALLOWED to field them players but they went ahead and fielded them anyway, If they didnt break the rules they would still be in the compitition :50:

The players and the Club went before Swiss Civil courts today. We should know quite soon (this week) if provisional measures will be accorded or not.

I guess you can say: If there is a "no" from these courts, there is absolutely no way that Sion will play this year's Europa League and Celtic are a 100% in.

They either broke the rules or they did'nt ,according to UEFA they did as Celtic have been reinstated but Sion are allowed to appeal ,What can Sion say that they have'nt already to change UEFA's minds i don't know ,but talk of letting them into a group of 5 etc is nonsense ,Either Sion are in or Celtic are in ,that's down to UEFA to sort out .

Looks very likely they might win this appeal.:54: They probably deserve to if I'm being honest being thrown out the tournament is far too harsh on them.

how is it harsh? they broke the rules, they suffer the punishment.

fair enough if the ineligible players didnt play, but they did, and one of them scored twice.

This has become a complete farce. Without knowing the ins and outs of it I think it is a bit simplistic to say they cheated for certain. There is clearly a degree of contension but this has all come about because UEFA sat on their hands for so long. Had they acted the day after the 1st leg it would be decided one way or the other by now. At the moment whatever happens, they are going to upset people.

It is unfair on everyone involved. Sion clearly feel they have acted in the rules set down to them. Even if they havent, their fans deserve better and for UEFA to have acted one way or the other earlier.

It is unfair on Celtic firstly to be reinstated then potentially out again. Also because we lost to a potentially ineligible team, we have lost our seeding for the group.

It is also unfair on Madrid who may not find out who they are playing to the last minute, and unfair on Rennes who now may have two 2nd seeds in their group.

The whole thing is an utter farce that could have been dealt with weeks ago.

phew. nerve touched? you're right of course but I get his point that as a fan, if it was the other way round, you'd feel cheated. you'd think your management was * mental, but you'd also feel gutted you'd been kicked out after winning over 180 minutes

Ach, they beat us fair and square that's why it's harsh. They used players from their own squad and are only being punished because of a technicality with registering the players. Not as if they used players from another team to beat us. They deserve to go through. Celtic don't. That's how I feel.

I agree with this to a certain extent, but you have to agree that when you are told not to field players and you do you've broken the rules. End of.
