    Don't know how anyone can watch South American football.

    Slow, boring and predictable.

    The MLS and probably the SPL gives more entertainment.

    Not really. Chile has an identity now of fast passing, high pressing and lots of movement. What the Chilean national team is now is what the good teams there are now do. Brazil often involves lightning quick counter-attacks with attacking full backs. Argentine often resembles a long brawl. Teams going hammer and tongs at each other. Not the most skilful or aesthetically pleasing but not slow.

    Depends on the game.

    One thing none of them are is predictable. In the Spanish speaking areas the short league formats create very competitive leagues. In Argentina since 2010 we've had eight different champions, with no one winning more than one league title since then. From small teams like Banfield to giants like Boca Juniors.

    In Brazil the constant raids by European teams mean you never know who will do well, what new player(s) will emerge. While European leagues go around the same two or three (at best) clubs.

    In this years Libertadores we only had two previous winners in the last eight (and zero in the semi's). In last years there was only three previous winners in the last eight. Compare that to last years Champions League when only two sides in the last eight weren't former champions.

    Not hard to tell which is more predictable

    The title race looks to be back in Cruzeiro's hands. After losing to their closest rivals São Paulo on Sunday they got a good 2 x 0 win against Atlético PR. While São Paulo shockingly lost 3 x 1 away to Coritiba.

    A lot of derbies tonight. The Fla-Flu in Rio. This is the first time in a long time that Flamengo have gone into this derby with the better form. It's also the first time in ages that I can see them getting something from the game.

    The Majestoso in São Paulo, between Corinthians and São Paulo. In Belo Horizonte there is the Atlético Mineiro x Cruzeiro. In Salvador there is the Ba-Vi, Vitória x Bahia.
