Diego Tardelli has been good on the counter-attack, covering ground fast and creating chances. Rogério Ceni is making mistakes under pressure so there are more goals in this.

SÃO PAULO - Edson Cholbi do Nascimento, more commonly know as Edinho and the son of Pelé was sentenced yesterday to 33 years in prison for the crime of laundering money from drug trafficking. The former goalkeeper at Santos was tried in the First Criminal Court of Praia Grande, on the south coast of São Paulo. He can still appeal.

The court also ruled that Edinho hand in his passport within five days before the date of his sentence. This measure aims to prevent him escaping. The same ruling was applied to Maurício Louzada Ghelardi, more commonly known as Soldado; and Nicolau Aun Júnio, known as Véio, both convicted of the same crimes. Besides those three, Clóvis Ribeiro, known as Nai and Ronaldo Duarte Barsotti, known as Naldinho were also convicted. However, the first person had remand and the second is at large, on the run for five years.

The group was discovered in 2005 by the Department of Investigations into Narcotics (Denarc). According to the investigation, Naldinho was the leader of the organisation, which had links to the Red Command in Rio de Janeiro. Because of this investigation, Edinho has been arrested three times. The first in June 2005, just days after being released and then twice more the following year, being released for the last time in December 2006.

According to the G1, the club where Edinho was part of the coaching staff (Santos), did not comment on the incident.

Marinho Chagas, "The Cannon of the Northeast" has died. One of the greats, as he was one of the first left backs to master the art of attack. He became so good at it that his wing was called the Marinho Chagas' Avenue.
