    I never said that! I think it makes sense to get him on a longer deal so we can get a bigger transfer fee when he does leave but there was no danger of him leave now like you said. :31:

    I never said he was on verge of leaving. I said moved to keep him happy which would remove stories about improved deals elsewhere. We keep a happy player and secure our investment

    Nothing wrong with that. We gave Skippy a year extension after his first season. Means he's still on a 4 year contract and he's on better wages.

    It's just the way it's being said after a run of 3 bad games. If we had won all 3 and the news broke that Izzy has signed a new 4 year deal everyone would be happy.

    The year extension is on his contract that he already has, it just means that he's on a longer, improved contract not just here for another year! :bbpd:
