Neil Lennon shouldn't go. There's always next year for Europe. The league, and possibly the treble is still possible.

As disappointed as I am in recent performances. I believe Lennon will lead us to success this season.

anyone who can't see the improvement in our team since Lennon took over is blind , or is too tangled up in playing fifa and football manager to understand the real game. Lennon is building a team, and doing a good job at it. it doesnt mean we are going to walk into european competitions....but under Lennon we will win trophies

No point sacking him now but he should never have been appointed. His lack of experience and tactical know how is frequently obvious any time the other team doesnt just fold. I might just about now think Lambo is ready having learned his trade. Really Lenny should do the same and he might be back in the frame in about 5 or 6 years time.

Doesnt matter. Any guy who can win 3 titles out of 4 and take us to the last 16 of the CL twice is entitled to have a bad season once in a while. No other manager is our history since Stein has been expected to win the title and do the last 16 every year or get heaps of * for it. I think the problem is our expectations became totally unreasonable. We wanted the title, knockout stage CL action and pretty football every season. Well the post-Strachan era has been light years away from that success. We are now in danger of Rangers getting four in a row and not making the Europa groups two years in a row. Sorry but the Strachan era was on a different level of success at home and in Europe. This is the pits in comparison.

The sad thing is he doesn't learn from his mistakes at home or away:38:

Never thought I would have said this but I do agree with you here, we have become the laughing stock of Europe went from fortress Celtic Park to can't even beat lesser teams from Scotland at home, but the real sad thing is some fans on here can't see it they let their heart rule their heads instead of common sense

Ridiculous that the same people who said last season that he was the man for the job and to sign him up on a long contract can now say to sack him. He's asked the fans to stick with him and after everything he has given us we owe him that

I'm sorry gunt but you simply cannot say that it doesn't matter that Gordon Strachan left us with a team that played tawdry football. It may not have mattered to you as an individual but it was quite apparent when Strachan was here that it did matter to a great many Celtic fans.

Attendances started plummeting under Strachan even though he was regularly delivering trophies. Do you never stop to think why that was and why he was never fully embraced? It was sod all to do with the fact that Strachan wasn't a 'Celtic man'. That's a myth that is peddled to try and make the people who never warmed to Strachan feel ungrateful. The main reason attendances started to drop and Strachan never got fully accepted is because his teams played football that was not nice to watch.

So it is really a bit of a nonsense for you to say that it doesn't matter. Like I say, it may not have mattered to you personally but for thousands of Celtic fans it most certainly DID matter.

The Celtic man thing does matter to people. Was it not you yourself a few days ago that basically listed a load of 'one of us' attributes of Lenny (putting this nicely) mattered to you. These things clearly affect fan opinion.

The matter of Lennon staying depends completely on what happens behind the scenes.

If his hands were tied and he was handed a transfer budget of £1m this season then we all know that is not good enough.

If he went to the board and said that he has total faith in his squad and does not need reinforcements then he has made his own bed.

Either way the only consolation in this bad week (and I do mean 7 days which is a long long time in football, especially for a lot of fans on this forum) is that the mob across the city are under p as well.

Ridiculous question. The man has achieved a lot in ONE year. I think there is more to come. It is easy to dump a manager after one year. But then you have to start over again. That is not what we need. We are in the middle of something. Dont forget, this is just the beginning.
