No, but to say our youth team should beat and SPL team is a bit unrealistic. Trust me btw, I know we deserve more and have argued as much as anyone on here as to why. Truth is though that our club, not the team, is letting us down. We are not willing to take a gamble which will take us up a level. You only need to look at a couple of threads at how many fans are happy to balance the books as to know why.

1. Arrogance. St Johnston are an SPL team not Sunday league. Unfortunately the gulf in class is no longer there.
2. My views on slagging our players has been documented in this thread.
3. Arrogance again. The countries these teams play out of are ranked way above the Scottish league.

I have faithfully followed Celtic for over 48yrs now, followed not only at home, but also abroad in European competions too, so please don't ever tell me, how I should be behaving, in my support for the team that I love and adore so passionately. When you become a Celtic supporter, you stay a Celtic supporter till the day you die, or at the very least, that is my perception of being graced with following Celtic. If there are supporters who want to moan, then let them do it, if they pay good money to watch Celtic, then they are entitled to moan, if they aren't happy with the way things are going with their team. And for anyone on here to insult such people, by telling them "to go and support, some other team" , should be hanging their heads in shame. Remember, we are Celtic, we don't suppress peoples opinion, or at least we shouldn't. As usual, I was there today, like many others on here, and yes, I am fecking raging, and entitled to be fecking raging, at what I saw. I saw a team today, with no heart, no passion, and definately little skill on display. The full team, should be ashamed of their performance today, every single one of them. There are way too many players, who are simply not good enough, to wear those beloved green and white hooped jerseys. I dont take any pleasure or enjoyment, out of saying what I am saying at this moment in time, but I feel totally justified in saying what I am saying. I know Peter Lawwell, and he is a genuine Celtic supporter, and I applaud the way he guides us financially, but surely, we have to see our team, not only winning here in Scotland, but totally dominating Scotland. OK, just now, we are down some 3 or 4 of our top players, but that can happen to any team, anytime, anywhere. Surely to * though, a Club as big as we are, we should be able to hump a team, that could only muster up, say 150/200 supporters to bring with them today. C'mon don't come out with the crap, it was a bad day, Celtic, shouldn't do bad days. We are simply signing players, some of who simply aren't good enough. Lets start weeding out now, and identify, players who are good enough, for us. Yes, we have a big pool of players, but be honest, how many of them excite you ? There are 2 types of fans ones who want a wining team and others that want to be second best you come in the latter but not the most loyal because I have came thro good and bad but still here, but that doesn't mean I have to accept second best

 

Well that is rubbish.

 

I was there in the 90s and i remember Mike Galloway getting abuse. Alot of it, in fact one game he threatened to walk off if it didnt stop, he got into an argument with some fans right next to me and my dad and asked them to support a Celtic player not call him a fat ginger mason, and a fist fight broke out between Celtic fans.
I nearly shat myself.

We were poor today, no getting away from it. * poor in fact.
I have been saying for months on this very Forum for us not to get too cocky - all the talk of steam-rolling teams, walking the league etc.
Now it's came back to bite us right on the *.
We expect better, and so we should. We are Glasgow Celtic.
