Not much of a goalscorer by the looks of things.

 

Seems to have a decent scoring record at BATE, apart from that nothing really stands out. Does anyone know his style of player, target man ect?

Clearly not. Stupid thing to say. The fact that they have a very poor goalscoring record and are over the age of 30 are my main problems. I think we can do much better.

Moravcik was 32/33 when we signed him. Unheard of and look how that one turned out. Don't judge a player fully on his past.

This point just does nothing to change my mind. With scouting as thorough and widespread as it is these days, the chances of finding a player with half the talent of Lubo who hasn't been spotted by bigger clubs at that age is negligably slim. Lubo was also a creative midfielder who had a very impressive goalscoring record at most clubs he played for. Kutuzov and idrissou have done very little in their careers to suggest they merit a move to Celtic.

 

Cheap doesn't necessarily mean bad. I thought we'd understand that after Larsson, Lubo, Izzy, Kayal etc etc.

The idea that cheap = bad, and expensive = good, in football is ridiculous.

 

Nothing irritates me more than when we are linked with some shitebag people refer to this example. Ok then from now on we'll only sign 33 year olds that no one has heard of and all of them will be as good as Lubo. It makes perfect sense.

I remember he scored against Scotland and that he's played in the Italian leagues for most of his career, that's as far as my knowledge about him goes.

 

Could be more dead wood.

Could be a gem of a player.

There are so many better players than this who we could get for just as cheap.
