the players will know they played badly, they will not need the boss or the hacks to tell them that.

I like it much better when the manager tells it like it is. Nothing more infuriating than watching a terrible performance and then the manager comes out and says we played really well.

if lennon comes out and says the players did ok, after a performance like todays, how do you think the majority of the fans would feel? even angrier, because their own manager would be lying, and feel disillusioned with him. lennon was being honest, which is the only thing that one could ask from him.

Not saying they don't deserve it mate but there gaffer shouldn't be saying it in public like that it should be kept in the dressing room it won't do the players any good Lennon comin out and saying what he did after te game

Sir Alex defends his side no matter what even when poor although they probably get the hair dryer treatment behind closed doors

what does it matter if the players are told that their performance wasn't good enough in the dressing room or through the media, or even both?

Lennon did this after the Ross County game and got a positive reaction from the team, seemed to work that time why not this time?

Just don't think he should be doin it in public mate. What reaction from the roams county game ? The league was over anyway the team was playing under no pressure as they weren't expected to win the legue that year this season they are. It is early days but points at home count for slot when it comes to the last few games

in what way? if mangers don't tell the truth in public, they'll lose the fans. the players know the performance wasn't good enough, and it doesn't matter if they are reminded in the dressing room and/or in the media.

Well after he publicy slated them, they won evry game after that till the end of the season, if that isn't a positive reaction I don't know what is. Might not have counted towards anything but it still improved the teams performance. Thats all we can ask after perfomances like that/this.

Not saying we are going to win evry game now but you get my point his method has been tryed and worked before so why not now?

Certain ways to go about it mate say dissapointed etc nor come out slating them it could well have a negative effect and not a positive one as I've said none of the top managers cone out and slate there team. Lennon has every right to be raging and probably adrenaline was still going through him after te game with anger like we all were but keep it indoors please

If he defended the players and said they done well we would have a thread complaining about him sugar coating things. Whatever he says after a bad result there will be some who find fault with it.
