Suppose I can't really argue with that, I do have a soft spot for Tiki-Taka :84:

The Rooney thing we've been over before, but I'd point you to last season - barring one unbelievable goal - *. He didn't kick a ball until about February. There's plenty of non Spanish players that I think are considerably better than 'Wazza'.
CM though, unlike every other position, isn't really one position, the sort of role Busquets plays for example is completely incomparable to the role of say Iniesta.

Cesc plays in an advanced role, which would place him in the front 3 of Spain's 4-2-3-1. Busquets' anchor man role is unlike anything Fabregas would be looking to play, and Xabi's deep lying playmaker role is unlike Cesc's postion also, that leaves, as I said, Xavi and Iniesta, the advanced playmakers - who he is not going to get in ahead of. If you were going on skill alone, I'd move Xavi into Alonso's position and put Cesc in but that isn't how football works. Xavi and Iniesta are two halfs of a whole.

And I think Silva is better than Mata, but as I said earlier in the thread, I think Mata will be a big star in the technically poor EPL too.

Cesc has only been an advanced playmaker for a year or so, before that he was deep lying and at the start he was out and out defensive midfielder for Arsenal. He's been put through all the roles with Arsenal. Like I said though, if he was good enough he would be in there. He's not better than Xabi Alonso, I agree with the Busquets part as he is a far more effective defensive midfielder.

Truly great players, play. Cesc while he is a very good player I don't think he could ever claim to be comfortably the best in the Premiership. He's never even won player of the year and that's something that Scott Parker managed to do in a team poorer than Arsenal.

If he was as good as made out, he would be an incredible player.

I rest my case with him being up there with the worlds best after his peformance today, was simply magical. He absolutely ran the show and united had no answer for him. His assist for the 6th goal was sensationial. What a player.

Stand out player in the EPL at the moment. His pass for City's 6th was incredible.

Nah I don't think he is, not far off it though. In terms of midfielder's Xavi and Iniesta are in a class of their own

If he can keep up these performances, he'll be player of the year without a doubt.

Said it before, I'll say it again: best player in the EPL. By a mile.

    Totally dismantled Man U.

Even Barca are probably wishing they'd signed him now, when they were considering it a while back.

And Nasri's probably starting to wish he'd stayed at Arsenal. Good. If he spends the rest of his time there warming the bench he's got what he deserved. :50:

He makes guys like Aguero look ordinary.

Better than Iniesta imo. Better at dribbling, finishing and his vision is just as good. Barca and Real will no doubt bid for him in the summer, he would walk into both sides at a canter.

No need for him to leave though as City could end up eclipsing Barca and Real in the next few years. They are a joy to watch.

Best player in the premier league just now. Don't think he's as good as Iniesta or Xavi yet but he'll definitely be just as good as them if not better in the future. Can see Barcelona trying to snap him up.

Not a chance in * is he better than Iniesta. He comes the closest to Xavi and Iniesta for me.

I am ready to bet that he will finish at Barcelona to replace Iniesta :icon_mrgreen:
