Just confirmed on SSN - Fraser Forster will return for a season long loan, with the view to a permanent deal.

Personally I'm happy that we've sorted the position as a GK was badly needed & FF knows us and we know him, so no settling in required.

I do think there are better GKs out there but the guy is young and, if we sign him permanently, will hopefully improve with age!

    Thoughts?

Didn't want him but it's done now, Lennon knows what he's doing.

Im happy with this, he loves the club, he knows the players, we know what were getting. He has alot of potential and plenty of time to improve on his weaknesses, e.g Kicking

For whatever reason our defenders seem to be more confident with him in behind them then Zaluska. Overall pretty happy with this.

    Welcome back Forster.

23 and had a superb start to his Celtic career last year. If we buy this bhoy for good he could go into our record books for record club appearences. Truly believe that.

    Incredible potential.

*! I don't think he's a particularly good choice, but he's here now, so let's get on with it.

    Not sorted atall,

and im not happy with this atall, reason why, it seems Forster wasn't Lennon's first choice.

    he can't kick
    doesn't get down fast enough,
He's routed to his line at a high percentaes of crosses, despite being 6foot7.
when he does come, he opts to punch every time, which * me off.
He doesn't commad his defence enough.
    Sandomierski wouldhave been better
    Gordon would have been better.

May be a bit harsh on the man, but i just don't feel this was the right choice.

As soon as the season kicked off he was the only choice in my mind. Risky business bringing in a keeper that needs a bedding in period after the season is underway. Phenomenal record last season. Well done the board for getting the finger out.

Here's hoping for another shut out record :icon_mrgreen:

If he improves continually on his overall game and also works on improving his weaknesses then he will show that he takes the training on board and has the ability to get better - in which case sign him!

Going to be a big season for the lad! I'm really hoping he rises to the challenge!

    Hail Hail

"a loan with a view to a permanent deal" - would have been much happier if it was a permanent deal full stop. However, happy to have him onboard, he is a true Celtic man and has a great career ahead of him. Sure one day he could play for England.

Rubbish. Only time he was guilty of that was the Davis shot, De Gea's mistake against City was worse.

Maybe not as inspiring a signing as Gordon would have been, but he's infinitely better than Zaluska!

Aside from that one mistake against Rangers, I can't really recall too many disastrous kicks. Besides, that's something that will be doubtless worked on in training. He has talent, which is something you cannot teach.

Possible a legitimate criticism, but the is easily offset by his reach.

He might not come for many, but he usually makes solid contact with the ones that he does. Good enough for me.

    This will improve with age.

You must be one of the 5 people that actually ever seen Sandomierski play 90 minutes then?

As for Gordon, you might be right. But as it stands, we can attempt to pick him for free in January.
