Really don't see it, if he can't hold down a place with us he's got no chance at Liverpool.

LIVERPOOL are set to make a shock bid for Celtic star Paddy McCourt.

McCourt's stunning individual goal for Northern Ireland against the Faroes last week was seen by scouts all over Europe.
Kop boss Kenny Dalglish has already spent over £100million this year as he tries to turn the Anfield club in to English title contenders.
Now he is ready to open the chequebook once more to try and net the Celtic winger before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
Liverpool are understood to have made a tentative enquiry about the player's availability last Thursday morning - just hours after his wonder strike.
They were given little encouragement by Hoops bosses but a formal bid is expected to be lodged within the next few days.
It now remains to be seen whether they will offer enough to persuade boss Neil Lennon to part with the player.
Wolves and Blackpool are also interested in the 27-year-old but the chance to become part of King Kenny's revolution is likely to tempt McCourt Liverpool's way.

I saw that. Found it strange. Doubt he'll move anywhere, let alone Anfield.

What the mirror says is true; outrageous talent but a lack of consistency. Would be hard pressed not to accept if deal is over £3 million.

As much as i like paddy i would be astounded if he ended up at Liverpool and Dalglish would just suddenly make a bid for a player on the back of a wonder goal against the Faroe's imo.:87:

Would be sad to see him go but he isnt even a first choice sub. Maloney and Forrest are more likely to be brought on to add a spark than him.

It is a strange one though, paddy must be awful in training cause he hardly puts a foot wrong on the park. Anything above £2m I'd take and invest in a non-midfield position.

Amazing how two goals against the Faroes can lead to this! :bbpd:

Of course they were quality goals, especially the second, but would Liverpool really have been interested in Paddy before?

We as Celtic fans all know what he can do but suddenly these goals have alerted the English media and given them something to speculate about, can't see it happening.

Look I'm not even a fan of Brown and I agree with some of the criticisms you have of him, but this has thread nothing to do with him, you're looking to have a dig for no reason, it's out of order, cut the crap.

If they spend millions on Charlie Adam, anything is possible.

lissen mate it is a comparison, there guys making statement about mcourt that have never really seen him play, there are footballers all over Scotland shocked hes no getting a game mate as he terrorized them last year in the reserve teams, IMO just like yours, but the difference is i dint attack your choice of words.

Can't see this happening and I find it hard to believe they were interested in him before the Faroe's game last week...

paddys a luxury here at celtic park. he,s looked fantastic scoring wonder goals against smaller teams. but when the big games come up and we need people defending he,s probably not the man for the job . i,d take 3-4 mill and invest in a target man or a decent keeper..
