    I'd imagine it's more to allow the player to get a feel for the place as well as having a look at him close up in training/bounce games.

    The fact he's been asked to come over would suggest he's what we are looking for.

    Based on what i've seen from both. Mphela looked the perfect extra striker. Good in the air, good pace.

    We can't make judgement on YouTube which is why Lennon likes trials. When they come over he is looking at a specific thing in the players game not judging him entirely on the trial alone he will have scout reports fitness tests and references from previous managers players about his suitability

    everyone seems so quick to judge when the majority probably have never watched the man play, wait until his trial is over, if we get him, he plays *, then say about how * he is ect, don't do it before you even know what he plays like, IMO he will do well here, if he doesn't score he will help create goals, he will beat any defender in the SPL with ease, lets hope he can prove all you people that are quick to judge wrong.

    Another striker with a very, very poor goal return for the majority of his career. I don't get how these people get signed.

    It's like John Toshack: got/gets major jobs but does really poorly wherever he goes. Proper journey man with a pretty poor track record.

    He's 31. No thanks.

    Not that poor took swansea from the 4th to the old 1st division with consecutive promotions.

    won the Spanish cup the Spanish super cup the Turkish cup and won the Spanish league as well as being runner up twice.

    was also named manager of the year, two years in a row in Spain

    Point is Toshack has won honours, many good managers havent so doesnt really have a poor track record

    While my initial chat was probably exaggerated I also stand by that he's done jack all for a long, long time.

    He won honours in the 90s and 80s. Done nothing of note for years and years.
