It's quite strange that on other occasions people have posted, after a game which we have lost, that they have felt cheated. Cheated by other SPL teams, or match officials. Yet here we are, very possibly being truely cheated, and we are debating wether or not we should accept the justice we would deserve!

IF we have been cheated, we deserve to go through.
    We need the money.
It's a brilliant group and we should enjoy the experience.
    I've never been to Madrid!

accept going through if we,re given it ..but these result have shown us incompatence..at euro and spl level....we need to get a grip ...on the positive side it would give european experience to players who probably wont taste this kind of venue again..

Anyone saying we shouldn't accept a European place is talking through a hole in their *!

How many times have we heard the old line "We need to be playing against better opposition" - well that is what European competition is all about. I would take any route to a better class of opposition. Back door, front door, side door, trap door or any other * door you can imagine.

Athletico Madrid, Udinese or Rennes, and some people want to turn that down? * nonsense!

    Cheers for that information :50:

So the Swiss FA have been a law unto themselves right from the start of this then by the sounds of it.

I will be seriously * off if this doesn't get ruled in our favour because Sion have been doing what they want regardless of the rules and what UEFA/FIFA have told them.

Not really. The Swiss FA have been caught in the middle of it, fairly unfairly aswell.

The Swiss FA where really the first to bring this up because the players in question were also ineligible for the Swiss League. But because Sion took them too court, Fifa and Uefa intervened and both told the Swiss FA that no football matters should be decided in court and if they did end up in court EVERY Swiss team would face expulsion from European football and The National side would face expulsion from Euro 2012.

So for the sake of the other clubs and FA they really had no choice but to back down because everyone was getting penalised.

Unfortunately for the Swiss FA they now have a big crisis on their hands because everyone wants to boycott their games with Sion it's turning out because Sion are bascially making their own rules.

In fairness dude, what Marie said was "stay on topic" this is a thread about Celtic and Sion.

But I trust there will be a Shamrock Rovers thread in the World Football section of the forum.

Well done to you, thats all I can say or I would be straying off topic.

What you should do Gerry is create a Shamrock Rovers thread mate (In the world soccer section). Now see if you end up with lots of contributors to that thread (which I'm sure you will because we're all Shamrock fans) Then maybe one day you will have your on section. You never know Gerry.

You could start a TalkCeltic Revol. I would Certainly visit the Shamrock Section if it was busy enough for a decent blether. But in the meantime since your here.

Do you think Sion should be penalised for fielding illegal players?

PS. Good Luck against Spurs. Hope you do better than hearts
