of coarse we should, it's free money. Let alone the opportunity to maybe get through as unlikely as it may be

If only for the money we should accept. Will be good euro experience for the new players.

I would imagine rankers are hoping we get rightfully reinstated
after the obvious & blatant rule breaking & progress as far as
possible, to help the co efficient :56::56::56::56::56::56:

But the punishment for fielding illegal players is not a ban, it's a 3-0 result in favour of the opposing team. So the 2nd leg would go ahead anyway.

They beat us fair and square, despite fielding five ineligible players, one of whom scored twice in the 2nd leg?

You no' on the wrong website mate? :86:

Even if they had been allowed to play, they'd still have beat us the way they did, which is embarrassing.

Originally I thought we should just take it on the chin but after reading what they have done then I have to say we cant let Sion away with this is this not what Neil fought the SFA over teams being given an unfair advantage over others. Ok I know we were poor but that does not cut it they broke the rules thats it how would no what would the support want Celtic to do if it happened in our league EH! we would be up in arms about it and rightly so oot they go it's a no brainer.

PS. Tell you what just so we dont embarrass the apologist's on here if (it's a big one ok) we win it we'll give the cup back just to save face eh? * off.:31:

theres no accepting, the other team broke the rules * end of , maybe we could sign rooney or messi for a few matches ... silly i know but where do you draw the line , the rules are quite clear if you break them , suffer the consequences imo

    I'm not picky.
Seems strange though on how they could register inegible players though, don't it mate. Surely if these players were bought during a ban on transfers they would be inegible to play cos they would have been bought illegally.

Also, is the Swiss guy going by what Vlad Mk II (Constantin) is saying because I wouldn't take his word for anything judging by what I've read about him.

Of course we should, Vital experience for the players, money for tv rights and gate receipts, helps attract players. No downside.

They shouldn't have had that team out, end of story. 3 goals from players who were banned, I don't see how they can't be kicked out. I hope we take there place.

I have a very good feeling we'll get back in, If say we don't though can we get lawyer's on the case and claim for lost revenue by being cheated out of it?we shouldn't let it go if theres an chance we can get compensated

the swiss fa where told in court that they had to register them the swiss fa never wanted to and thats 1 of the reasons fifa and uefa are so mad is because soin took it to court and not the court of arbitration where it should have been sent

It would go down as two 3-0 wins.

6-0 on aggregate, I guess we pumped them afterall. :56:

If as Wonder_Bhoy states the punishment is not a ban but a 3-0 result in favour of the opposing team them Celtic will be awarded two 3-0 victories as Sion played ineligble players in both ties. Either way Sion are at fault and must in terms of fairness be in effect kicked out be it via an official ban or overturning the results.
