They fielded five ineligible players against us. FIFA imposed a transfer ban on them and they chose to ignore it.

I know that but do uefa work along side FIFA on these things.you would think sion would have been expertly advised to play them

 

I'd rather go through on our own merits, but if we go through on a technicality I'd take it. Think about how many times we've been cheated in Europe over the last ten years, we deserve a bit of luck.

 

We would be pumped silly in the group stage, we showed over the two legs agianst Braga, Utrecht, and Sion we are simply not good enough at the moment.

Having said that I would still happily take the place, for the financial benefits alone. Would be crazy not to.

Something deep inside is telling me they won't get pumped out of Europe but they WILL and SHOULD get some kind of punishment though. I mean, they fielded some of the ineligible players AGAIN tonight, with a couple of them on the subs bench, so if they don't get punished then that means they have cheated their way through to the group stages.

People are saying that we don't deserve to go through but that is on a playing front - not by cheating. Over the course of the two matches, as football goes, we don't deserve to go through BUT over the course of two matches, Sion cheated - bottom line, so they should get punished for it.

You always wanna go through by playing and earning it BUT cheating is cheating and Sion should not be allowed to play in the group stages and for the sake of much needed money, the chance for more European football and for Lenny to gain more experience then I would take it for sure.

If the shoe was on the other foot then people outside Celtic would be expecting us to get severely punished so why not Sion? Fenerbahce got punted out for alleged match fixing so Sion should get chucked out for fielding players that were not allowed to play!

We don't deserve to be in Europe, and it would be an absolute riddy if we were to go through on this technicality, but I'd take it, we'd be mad not too.

 

All 3 of their goals were scored by players who werent supposed to be playing

 

That can only strengthen our case I suppose.

 

Can't believe that Feindouno scored two of those goals tonight. The very same guy who we rejected last December. Typical. Ah well, onwards and upwards towards the league title
