I kid you not, if they can't find he did anything, he'll probably get done for having worn tyres.

I have sympathy for him, i'm not an animal, just as I have sympathy for that kid getting the * kicked out of him for riding a bike. By the way, I'm far from brainwashed, I'd hazard a guess I have a much higher level of education than you.

This is * ridiculous. I'm not one to know all the current affairs, but watching the news today, and seeing a woman say that because children are treated like scum, they have to act like scum? Some people make me sick. Not only is that nothing to do with the riots when asked about it, it's a totally absurd statement to make. Absolute scum. People making any excuse to join in with the controversy, and to make a name for themselves. Everything wrong with the 'UK' is being shown right now, and it needs to get sorted. While everyone complains about foreigners, or the lack of money, the real situation has reared it's ugly head. I would understand if after the shooting, some of the guy's friends held a protest or something, I dunno, I don't really know the full story. But to have riots through the whole country? Mental. Lowlife scum, and I hope everyone looting, rioting and fighting get what they deserve.

Also, to the people slagging off the Police, what the *? I haven't read this whole thread (65 Pages? No thanks.), but I've seen them being called cowards and thugs. How can you call a police officer a coward after being on duty for hours upon hours upon hours, to protect innocent citizens as much as they can. Some officers have been on duty for more than 30 hours, undeniably putting their lives at risk, yet people have the nerve to slag them off? When there's such abysmal goings on, and the police is subject to criticism rather than the criminals, especially in this case, it is not right. Who cares if the looters get hit by the officers, they deserve it. They are doing a great service, yet are just doing their job, just like you and me.

Also, my heart goes out to those helping the fight against the riots, who don't need to be there. Great credit to your country.

i think one thing we can all condemn are these riots. they are the act of thugs! and no doubt they will just get a slap on the wrist or weeks in jail.

The police have turned into social workers in england.

If those kids on bikes are in the vicinity then they are involved, there is no dispute, it doesn't matter that they are not actually looting or causing havoc, they are facilitating these riots. They are involved they shouldn't * be anywhere near places involved with rioting. I am of the opinion if it gets worse then send in the army, these * would think twice about rioting against soldiers instead of police officers whose powers are limited.

Out and out criminals every single one of them, no shooting of a man can be used as a reason for this, it cannot be used to defend it as a catalyst, if the man had a gun on him and would not drop it he will be shot, there is no two ways about that, carrying a weapon in public is illegal and if true he would not drop the weapon you cannot defend that.

Kids these days and i am a kind of kid being 20 but there is just no order with some of these guys and not all of them are teenagers as well absolutely shocking, this will cause people to wary young people even more than it happens nowadays, ill avoid a youth if i feel he is up to no good, think about people who see youths in the coming weeks because of whats happened, these idiotic fools have now set precedents and the whole of the Uk will be judged on a small minority, of which a vast number of that majority probably don't know how to spell Great Britain, no wonder they can't get a job.

In that case it would appear that social workers have started to shoot guys dead, beat into unarmed 16-year-old girls with batons, and assault children riding bicycles.

That's pretty obvious from the tone of your post.

The local community DID hold a protest - a one-hour peaceful protest. All they were asking was for the community leaders to speak to a police representative, and get some information about the killings. The police refused to speak to them. So a one-hour peaceful protest turned into two. Police would still not talk to them, they refused to communicate. Two hours turned into three, then four.

By which time it was getting dark and larger crowds were starting to gather. A 16-year-old girl started shouting at the police saying they needed to provide answers, that justice had to be done. Police line moved forward, and a group of them started beating into her with batons. That's what kicked the whole thing off.

Which doesn't excuse burning buildings and looting shops - but your glowing description of the police as some kind of heroes is pretty * ironic, considering it was them killing a guy and beating an unarmed 16-year-old girl that sparked the riots in the first place. But for that, none of this would have happened.

Im generalising here(as usual), but i would guess many of those "poor disenfranchised" rioters are from backgrounds that are not ideal.ie, single parent, poorish area etc. They didnt ask to be born into this world, it was the selfish action of their mothers to get pregnant at 14 or 16...so maybe we should prevent the next generation of poor disenfranchised litltle souls by stopping giving priority housing to young single mothers and give them a room in a hostel with others, with state funded child care so they can take a job.No, that would be too unfair on the delicate little souls....lets just allow them to get pregnant to get a council house and not have to work, and that should give their child a responsible outlook on life.Take all you can, contribute as little as you can. That is the mentality of some of these people. Not all people from poor backgrounds act like this. Most of those in poor areas still try and work...some even try at school and make a success of their lives, regardless of the area they come from. There are no excuses for this behaviour.
I know not all young mothers are irresponsible and they are only part of a greater problem, but lack of family cohesion does seem common in poor areas, especially when contrasted with the Turkish and Asian communities.(im usually a bit Islamaphobic, but the truth is these communities do understand respect.)

No, i see it differently....... but for a small percentage of our communities dealing drugs and carrying guns and thinking they are the Goodfellas, none of this would have happened.
I dont support police brutality, or particularly like the police, but they have a very hard job to do.They are routinely abused and assaulted and ostracised outwith their work, yet as soon as they lose a shred of control, we are all up in arms at their brutality......how can they possibly do a good job without making mistakes or bending the rules?I would bet every police force in the world has to endure such accusations, so i think in general ours is not too bad!(except when the * done me thrice, for not wearing a seatbelt!!!!)

It's always the same, anything bad from England is British and anything good from Scotland is British.

British beef infected by BSE. There was nothing wrong with Scottish beef, it wasn't Scottish farmers how fed cow offal to their cattle.

English hooligans trash a stadium and they are British football hooligans, but if Murray wins a grand slam he will be a British champion. This sort of stuff always bugs me...
