People who hate the police have usually had dealings with the police , if people have had dealings with the police then they have usually been in trouble with the police ..Vicious circle if you ask me :87:

I saw this on another forum and thought it was quite a good post.

A culture (Spearheaded by a hilariously vacuous Pop culture) of ME ME ME * ME is massively to blame for this, methinks. It's okay, if like most folk on here, you have a job and can afford the lovely clothes, ipods, blu rays and all the consoles that your heart desires, but when no one in your family has a job, you don't, can't get one cause you bunked/left school at 13, you're gonna get mad when you have been pummelled by advertising left right and centre that tells you to BUY BUY BUY and that "You're worth it"

WE don't steal and loot cause we have all those things, we worked for them too, * hard in most cases, but then most of us went to school/uni and saw a definite route to employment through education. It was a given.

I'm not saying any of these * couldn't have done it if they really tried, but in this day and age, in the young persons culture, you're nothing if you aint rocking some Nike Airs and some bling. It always makes me despair when I see the vast majority of young (Black) role models only talk about "Gittin' dat money" and "*/ho's" etc. I listened/listen (occasionally) to Hip/Hop/gangsta rap, but I'm educated and smart enough to see it as no more than caricatured entertainment. A lot of these inner city kids literally aspire to be these * toss-pots they see grinding ho's * and driving Lambo's in pop videos. I sound like a * grandad but it's true. Being a gangsta is cool, caring is not. Trying is not. Work isn't cool, school isn't cool. Getting rich quick by rapping about how much of a badass you are, is. Doing it all with no effort and smoking weed all day sipping crystal and getting millions is an actual career aspiration for a lot of kids. I see it in Bristol, it's absolutely * laughable and they can't even see what a joke they've all become to the majority of the educated employed population.

I've shared offices with filmakers in Bristol that made documentaries about the young black people in the city and they all wanna be rappers. None seem to have any other aspiration. However, it seems to be this way because the the people in charge of all the hiring in these "proper" jobs, don't want young black men in because they're scared of them, or are prejudiced against them. I witnessed this first hand too, talking to young black guys in Bristol that were part of the doc I mentioned, that couldn't get work experience at the BBC when a lot of white public school kids were ushered in with open arms.

But.... when you walk through a door with your * jeans around your *, with a fake limp and talk to a commissioning editor like you're with your mates outside McDonlads, is it any wonder you can't get a foot in the door?

    So many issues.

I live in Hackney, there is NOT a general feeling of unrest its more like
    you mentioned earlier..

''but there are hundred or so youths gathering at the scene.''

All i have seen are YOUTHS, thinking its a good time to loot
and get something for nothing.. Well... We are ALL going to pay for this:87:

It's a total shame that these 'riots' are just people exploiting the situation to loot and steal. The minute we need people to support any sort of legitimate protest , there'd be no chance.

I just watched a black man (youth worker) on sky news being interviewed regarding the London and I have never felt so angry than I did watching that.
He was basically asked by the interviewer why he thinks the riots are happening. And to exactly quote this disgusting man ''PEOPLE ARE JUST BORED AND FRUSTRATED, THEY ARE SICK OF BEING UNEMPLOYED AND HAVE NOTHING TO DO''!! The interview then went on for around another 5 minutes with him repeating the former in different ways. Also said they are in poverty. Oh really? They are so much in poverty that those animals are running around rioting in £100 trainers organising it with their £300 smartphones.

There has been times in my life where I have been frustrated and bored because I was unemployed and not once did It even cross my mind to go out and terrorise, and riot, and attack innocent people like an animal.
Why dosen't that disgusting man go to the intensive care unit in hospital where the 60 year old is dying that defended himself against the black rioters, and tell him, ''they were just bored and frustrated, it's not their fault''

Seen a few blacks say the same filth and condone the riots. This is NOT a revolution, in a revolution you bring down a corrupt elite, not your hard working neighbours.
