O'Dea to Leeds on Season Long Loan!

What's not to understand?

We need to sell players, not loan them.

We don't seem able to sell pish players, but how the * did we get them?

We bought them, so surely someone else will - or if not, there is a serious problem at the Club.

Why is Mowbray not buying any, like WGS did?

Is it because there are already 1/2 dozen ex-Celts at Middlesbro..

 

O’Dea hasn’t really looked like becoming a regular starter since the reign of Strachan. With the centre halves involved presently I can’t say I’m overly concerned by this departure.

Keeping relations with Leeds through a loan deal is good so far as Leeds being a club renowned for producing talent (talent that will inevitably seek to play European football).

 

We can sell players.

Just because they aren't good enough for us doesnt mean they cant do a job at another club or lower level.

A lot of teams prefer the loan system these days and are utilising it.

Simple.

 

I'd rather Hooiveld and Josh Thompson left before ODea.

Agreed. Squads have become significantly more provisional therefore teams are reluctant to have a player long term (who may be brought in only to facilitate a short term agenda). O’Dea will be used to push Leeds’ promotion ambition (but beyond that he’ll be surplus to requirements).
