    For some reason, i think he'll do good for us this season, Last few games he played last season he was pretty good, and even vs Hibs at the weekend, With Kelvin at the side of him, they'd prob make a pretty decent CB partnership, i'll prob get slated for this so bring it on :47:

    Loovens got slated last year, but actually the real donkey was Majstorovic.
    Majstorovic is a panic merchant, slow and prone to brain disconnects.

    Loovens and Wilson all the way for me now.

    How can you call Maj slow and prone to mistakes, then say you want Loovens in the team....Who is slower, more prone to mistakes, weaker, less commanding, and worse with the ball at his feet

    Loovens has been getting slated since 2008, his time's up. He's slower and more prone to brain disconnects.

    I do think he'll play more a part this season than we expected, been slated by the fans for a long time though and sadly I don't think he'll ever be able to win most of them round.

    The problem is, they are all a risk. You've got to always play the player who's on form and I like the way Lennon has stuck by this. It would have been easier for him to persevere with 'Big Dan' but hasn't.

    The game on Sunday would have been a more difficult task with him in our defence.

    I think under the right coaching with big dolph he's going to be a good cb this year. The end of last season and the hibs game I can't think of anything that he did wrong. I'd be happy if Lenny chooses him and Wilson and throws in Mulgrew sometimes aswell. Remember we don't see what happens in training guys.

    This is true but Loovens has previous, he is susceptible to lapses in concentration, it's Lenny's call but if it were my job on the line i wouldn't let him anywhere near the first team.

    Honestly don't understand the Majstorovic hate. He's far from perfect but despite his CB partner constantly changing last season he managed to organise a defence that only conceded 22 goals. 7 less than Rangers and our lowest total since 01-02.

    Should definitely partner Wilson this season and help develop the likes of Rogne, Wanyama and Toshney. His contract expires next summer, at which point he'll be 35, so would imagine he'll leave then.

    Majstorovic remains our number 1 centre half, he will be partnering the impressive looking Wilson.

    Loovens playing has more than a hint of Donati from the Mowbray era.

    Looven's definitely has turned a corner, even his long passing has improved all of a sudden, but even with this improvement he's still not good enough for the Celtic first team. I think Big Maj had maybe 2/3 bad games last term, i think he is definitely got to be our first choice Cb but in saying that when mulgrew moved to CB he seemed like he played there for years, no mistakes to note that i can remember so its a hard one.
