100 x better than McGinn. You can't play him with 2 strikers and Commons however.

Not consistent enough for a starting place but my second choice for the right side flank ( unless I'm forgetting someone :43: )

I do think he has got potential, I would loan him out for a season though as I wouldnt give him a game. Lennon's strongest midfield that i'm happy with is Commons, ledley, kayal, Brown. I do think thats not always the best way to go with that line up, like at home vs smaller teams i think 2 wingers should be played, I do think Maloney and mccourt are good enough to do that, so instead of hampering forrest's progress we should send him to another spl team or championship

He won't be going anywhere on loan.

As long as he stays fit he should be a starter every week imo, he looked extremely sharp when he came on against Cardiff as well which bodes very well. You could actually hear Lennon through the mic's screaming at him to 'keep going'

At the start of last season the only thought on his mind was to hit the byline as soon as he got the ball, he was firing in dangerous crosses and he can also finish as well.

Been excited about him since the U19's when he was doubled up on week after week and I reckon he could very well be the same for the top team.

good player, just needs to up it a bit and he'll secure a place imo

with maloneys injury problems, unless we sign another winger then he'll always be in and around the starting line up, so agree we shouldn't loan him out

He's a class wee player. Thoroughly deserved the new contract he was given! If he keeps his performances up this season I can see him being a mainstay in the first team in the next couple of years.

I think he's a good prospect. However, he is vastly over-rated by some people.

This season will be very important for him, but I think he should be brought on as an impact player when opposing teams are tiring.

I personally would rather play Commons, Ledley, Mulgrew, Brown, McCourt, Maloney ahead of him on either wing.

Good player. Bit over-rated though in my opinion. There is also Paul George coming through the ranks who is a similar player to both McGeady and Forest.

Some tricky wingers: Paul George, Forest, Malony, McCourt (Nial McGinn is not good enough I personal feel).

In our league or any other for that matter if you are small in stature you really have to be a really good player to progress.I think that Forrest has the potential to go on to be a great player for us,providing he doesnt get clumped tae * every time he plays aff some of them carthorses in the SPL

Great wee player. Old fashioned winger who does the damage, simple and to the point. He needs to stay fit for a while and get his confidence back up. But this lad has a very bright future here at Celtic.

Started last season well but got injured and has been very poor since imo! I personally dont think he is a starter for this season but i wouldnt loan him out either as I think he has a part to play from the bench! I would have Commons, Brown, Maloney and McCourt playing ahead of him at the minute but he's still young and has plenty of time to learn!

One game last year at CP he was having a torrid time from the fans. Can't remember who it was against but he just seemed to always make the wrong choice when in possession. Might have been that dire game against St Mirren when Commons came on and scored the winner.

For that reason I'm excited about his future at the club, but we must remember he is still learning his trade and cut him some slack from time to time.

Agree with most ppl on this, thought he had a good start last year, but by the end of the season he delivered some really poor performances. I also think that this could be his year, if he takes his chance when it comes around, he could be a hard player to take out of the team.

I remember the game you are talking about, got constant groans for making the wrong decisions! He had alot of stinkers after his return from injury, dont think he should have started half the games he did!

He could cement a first team place this season.

I still think Celtic fans sell him short, rating him alongside young guys coming through that have done nothing. When he's in the mood he's unplayable and will only get better.

Best prospect in Scottish football by some distance, just turned 20, only played around 20 games for Celtic and already a full international tells you all you need to know.
