If a group of lads want a ruck fair enough i know quite a few boys they tend to come out the woodwork for games like this and anything pre-season there will be alot of young lads tagging along though trying to get involved probably due to the GB ultra scene being similar to the casual scene.

The rough number for the csc is around 60 although it used to be in the hundreds back in the 80's as did most firms, the boys i know follow Celtic everywhere and are anything but "scumbags" etc. that fans will label them as, football is a working mans game i would rather have 100 hundred casuals than a bunch of new age fuds wanting everyone to love Celtic and telling you to sit down and be quite at games.

I was at Stamford Bridge in 2006 and caught right in the middle of it, about 60 guys who claimed they were the 'Celtic Soccer Crew'.

Crazy experience looking back on it now.

If they lived in a bubble where no-one else would get hurt then I'd happily say 'let them get on with it'. If anything a few might get seriously hurt and thus removed from the genepool.

However that is simply not the case. For all the talk of only ever fighting other casuals, many innocent people get caught up in the violence (not strictly talking about this 'Celtic Crew' btw) and get hurt. I've seen it myself plenty of times.

Maybe he has an opinion because he is concerned about that other 1 in ten times...when someone other than the mob you are fighting does get hurt....That for me is 1 time too many.

I can see how young guys get caught up in *....When you are in your teens it can be a laugh to some to get involved in that scene.....I did it myself in the late 60's early 70's....calling ourselves the Celtic Boot Bhoys...travelling to away games fighting with like minded individuals (nutters) Looking back....it was all nonsense. Wisdom comes with age.....sometimes :icon_mrgreen:

So all pubs, shop-windows, parked cars that are getting destroyed in the progress + the extra police costs that gotta be paid when these mobs are having a brawl are alright? I have no problems with them when they are fighting on some field far away from public, but most times that clearly isnt the case.

    just my 2 cents.

Edit: Some docu I saw just yesterday about violence at a Leeds vs Millwal game.

Aye mate but see the thing is if ye get yer kicks out of kickin people in then your a bit of an * really. Your absurdly skewed view of '9/10 times no-one else gets hurt so its grand' still leaves that 1 time doesn it. Was in a pub in birmingham once after a villa game when it was whispered to us that it might be a good time to leave cos some boys were headin down and it was all gonna kick off. Went back to the pub about two hours later and it looked like a bomb hit it. Doubt everyone that got caught up in it knew it was coming, but hey was probably just that 1 out of ten times. * childish *

Sounds like they want to be noticed, get their rep up with their fellow Celts.

If it wasnt, they might aswell hang an "arrest me" sign around their necks when they travel.

I wonder where they were when Mowbray's fairies lost to Mirren 4-0...
