We're never going to be able to compete with the likes of Chelsea for a youngsters signature, it's as simple as that.

"How could he do this to Tommy Burns", "He should have thought of Tommy" - yeah right!

Do some of you really think that the vile tirade of abuse aimed at the wee fella would have been what Tommy wanted? I think not.

Feruz owes TOMMY BURNS for saving him and his family from deportation - he owes it to Tommy to live a good life and give his family a good life too - not Celtic.

Yes, we have lost what apparently is a great young talent, but that is football.

    Players leave, and players come.

Time to wish the wee guy well, move on and concentrate on our own team and our own players in this domestic title challenge which we MUST win.

Not happy about losing him, but I wouldn't act 'hunnishly' towards a wee guy for being convinced to move to the Premiership big boys.

I am sorry the lad has gone, but i can understand his reasons for leaving. He has a great future ahead of him, potentially, but one horror challenge and his great career would be over. So more money and a bit of security might be very appealing.

I wish him all the best.

this thread isn't a debate. It's a group of grown men laying into a sixteen year old for daring to leave a club that doesn't have the best record in recent years of bringing through the youth.

I think we deserved a couple of years more from him but for him to be labelled a * for going to a better league where the youth setup is stronger is madness.

I don't know how anybody could do what he's done. A user, pure and simple. Disgusting.

Cannot believe anybody is sticking up for this little *.

    Well said.

Was young Tony Watt a * for leaving Airdrie UTD at 16 years old a few months ago to sign for Celtic?

This is were the sfa need to rewrite the rule book, we are losing our best players for money and thats the bottom line, A hear chelsea have offerd him 8 grand a week, how the * are we supposed to compete with that????

The * rule about players in this country not to be able to sign on pro terms needs looked at imo, it would stop the epl poachers from snooping about, something clearly needs done, no wonder the games dying up here, the worse thing about it is, he would have been a first team player this year.......... now he has signed on youth terms again for another year because he cant sign for them in pro terms until he is 17???

    This springs to mind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMxX-QOV9tI&feature=fvwrel

    Wow.

Is it any wonder why Celtic fans are being lumped into the same boat with obnoxious, socially retarded huns when you read posts like this?

Celtic know how to take care of there own and am sure he would have been looked after/ john kennedy.

If it was vice versa a doubt a club like chelsea would look after him the way celtic would if something like that happend. :50:

Good Luck to him in the future, Celtic have done their best at trying to keep him and we have helped him develop into a very good young player. although it would have been great to see him play for the first team Im excited to see him playing in the EPL in a few years time.

Chelsea are pretty charitable to be fair. They're still fielding Torres.

Best of luck to him. I hope we see him shining in the Champions League before too long (though preferable not for the English rangers!). The abuse he's getting from some quarters is simply disgusting. The guy's 16 years old. He has no Celtic connections. Yes, Celtic did more for him than just giving him a chance to get started in football, and I've no doubt he realises that himself. Can you really blame him for taking up the offer to move to the Premiership, to live in London, with one of the richest clubs in the world and one of the best as well?

Aye, you're right. Because that post was on a par with singing about famines, * salutes, rioting in several European cities, slandering the name of a man who helped the victims of the Ibrox disaster and * your sister in a train station then paying her for it.

Get a * grip. If we're being lumped into the same boat as them it's because of idiots like you who're offended at absolutely nothing.

Never compare me to a Hun again, thank you.
