Would be more than comfortable with Stipe in the Sticks.

Experience and quality....just what the doctor ordered.

As you said, a bit of a character by the sounds of things. If he's half as good as Boruc on the pitch then I'll be ecstatic.

He has just as much experience as any keeper we have been linked with....Maybe more so

Healthier than Gordon and younger than Given.......:50:

    Sign him up pronto...
This looks like the most viable option in my opinion, he is at the right age with allot of experience at both club and international level to command and control the back line.
By the looks of him he has that little bit of mental/crazy that all great goalkeepers need..

Trial? About 3-4 years ago he was worth over £10m, so why is he suddenly a player only to be going on trial? Otherwise, get him signed lol

    It's on Skysports now:

Skysports.com understands that goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa is on trial with Celtic in pre-season training.
The SPL runners-up are searching for a new goalkeeper in order to provide a third option to Lukasz Zaluska[IMG] and Dominic Cervi.
With Newcastle[IMG] seemingly unprepared to allow Fraser Forster[IMG] to return to Scotland, Pletikosa[IMG] has been offered the chance to impress Celtic's[IMG] coaches.
Obtaining a work permit would still be an issue, but the 32-year-old Croatian, who last season spent time on loan with Tottenham from parent club Spartak Moscow,[IMG] offers vast experience after collecting 82 international caps.
Celtic were also linked with Pletikosa during Gordan Strachan's time as manager at Parkhead.

    Hope this is true........

How would it be difficult to get a work permit for a guy that has played 82 times for Croatia? :56:

This would be perfect. An excellent, experienced keeper. Is he unattached? and if not. anyone know how long is left on his Spartak deal? Can't see them holding out for a large fee regardless.

His contract runs out in December 2012 but I think we'd get him for £1-£1.5million
