Currently watching a program about Katie Price (AKA JORDAN), which is billed as her "Highlighting the realties faced by many families, as she provides a frank account of raising a disabled child, and the discrimination they can face".

Watching the program, I can see that she appears to be a caring mother - and a carer for her disabled son.

This program is also in retaliation against Frankie boyle - for comments made about her and her child in his Tramadol Nights program.

I still can't see past her doing this partially for the publicity, as we all know what kind of a media * that she is.

    Discuss.

I realise it struck a chord with a lot of people but she is possibly the biggest media * in Britain this past decade and therefore she herself is to blame for her son being fair game when it comes to comedians like Frankie Boyle.

I have no issues with Boyle over the jokes, if I did I would be a hyprocrite.

I can't stand the bint, she clearly cares for her son but I wouldn't spit on the cow if she was on fire.

Saying that I would double bag it and give her a skelping.

She puts herself in the spotlight and is a no mark publicity hungry animal. Its a shame as well that her kids have also been dragged into her ongoing soap opera. Im sure she is a great mum, but maybe a better mum wouldnt be going around whoring herself on telly, grabbing as much headlines as she can and generally parading her * for the world to see.

Frankie Boyle wont give a * what she thinks.

Personally people like Jordan/ Katie Price are only in the public because of the attention they generate. Frankie , in a cruel way, is perpetuating her image and given her another avenue to seek attention.

I honestly feel that she cares more for herself than for anything else in her life. Harvey, Im sure is a nice kid, but I have no interest in his or her lives. Thats not being cruel or unkind, just that there are more important things going on in the world than giving time to this woman.

The Panorama programme several weeks ago about the abuse into disabled people who were shockingly treated was a real cold and hard piece of journalism and a negative aspect of the discrimination in the real world., whereas this is basically about a comedian who made a tasteless joke. Harvey will be protected from many harsh realities due to the fact that Jordan has an entourage of people looking after her.

A seen a bit of this she was hoping for a meeting with frankie boyle , and an apology, to me it just showed a fame hungry * , who seen this as an opportunity to cash in on a new tv show.

    As Frankie Boyle said himself:

'Is that comedian up on stage trying to be funny? Is he making a joke? Is he being serious!!???'

People need to get thicker skin, if you're a media attention seeking * then be prepared to get some nasties thrown at you and yours in the process.

Obviously thaty is part and parcel of her fame-attention seeking.

On the other hand, I can feel that from the position of numerous anti-disability discrimination campaigners, who work tirelessly to promote the impact of discrimination towards people who have hard enough difficulties living their lives, without being the subject of verbal abuse.

Where do you draw the line though?

Comedy is comedy. People are often the basis of their material, and I suppose that people with disabilities (mental and physical) are 'easy targets.

Should Frankie apologise to the wee fella? Perhaps.

Should he apologise to Kate? Should he *.

I can't stand her tbh, as long as people watch the programmes and buy the mags then i'm sure she will continue to milk it for all she can.

I think that if you make a subject 100% taboo you'll just get more and more people doing the sick jokes, Frankie Boyle people go to watch so they get that 'ohhh * did he really just say that' kind of laugh.

If you watch it and you get insulted, even if it's something that's well out of order you need to take it like it is intended. As a * joke.

I've heard worse said about others but this mock outrage world we are living in just now * me off.

Boyles lost the plot. He was a funny guy. As for Katie price she exploits TV for cash but joke was far from appropriate

We are living in a country where the pc brigade and the self righteous would have us sit in and watch X Factor and say * all offensive about anyone. This was a jibe directed at a child whose mother has put her son in the public domain. How many people or, at work, or in the street or in forums up and down the country were repeating that joke the very next day.

Comedy is there to push peoples boundaries about what is and isnt acceptable in society. You could argue that Frankie has highlighted the very thing that is being discussed. Discrimination. If it has people looking at themselves and what they find funny and what is unacceptable then that is a good thing. And thats what cutting edge comedy has done down the years.

I feel nothing for Jordan, I wouldnt read anything about her, her family or her "career". Perhaps if she took her millions that she has made from her perfume and, er... books she could give Harvey the protection from the limelight that has caused this.

    Agreed.

But, I suppose you have to feel some sort of empathy with the families of people who have these disorders mate.

As you say, jokes are jokes. There are many people worse off who are the * of comedy jokes. I would draw the line if/when people start to take these jokes and directly aim them towards they people or the families themselves I suppose.
