Felt Mexico were a bit unlucky, with the penalty and the offside (although the offside was the right decision).

But glad that Uruguay are going to progress - hopefully the game against Argentina will really spark this tournament into life...

So the scrubs of the scrubs of Mexico only lost by 1 goal to both Uruguay and Chile. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Mexico's "A" team would've won the group if they had been allowed to play.

There's no way to know that... Chile and Uruguay both got farther in the WC than Mexico did and they had trouble with Peru. Costa Rica's scrubs actually fared better. Mexico would have probably advanced over Peru but to say they would have won a group with Chile and Uruguay is a little presumptuous.

Um, both Chile and Mexico lost in the round of 16.

Mexico's current "A" isn't the same one that lost to Uruguay in the group phase last year either.

Dude, the scrubs of the scrubs(minus Gio) had trouble with Peru. This was the U-22 with a few older players. A few days before Copa America started, 7 players were kicked off the team. Many of those players would have started. You know who they were replaced by? U-20 players.

They lost each game by 1 goal. No one expected them to get out of the 1st round to begin with. Everybody was wondering how bad they would lose each game.

Was some goal by Rondon, one of the best players in Spain last season. Interesting that no bigger Clubs have went in for him but I take it Malaga will be going places and have him on big wages.

Mistaken about Chile, but still. It's ridiculously presumptuous. Argentina and (probably) Brazil didn't/won't win their groups but they have more talent than Mexico. Both of them assumed too much and now Brazil might even be kicked out. And, like I said, Costa Rica's squad is much the same - look at their ages! They fared better than Mexico, so I suppose if they'd had their full squad they'd have won the whole thing.

    Are you European?
