    I am Energie Cottbus supporter and I know him from his period in Cottbus. He was the best player for us in season 2008/2009 and also one of the best 1. Bundesliga goalkeeper at that time.
    Nevertheless we were relegated so that he played in the 2. Bundesliga in 2009/2010. He was still very strong and then even a candidate for Bayern Munich!

    He couldnt be in debate with Bayern when "He isn't very good.".

    What I want to express thereby is that he really is a very good goalkeeper.

    I think Tremmel's character, his appearance and his skills go very well with Celtic Glasgow!
    After a few games the crowd will cry his name.

    I've looked at Tremmel on Youtube and from that he seems a decent keeper. He's still only 32 which isn't too bad, could get five years out of him.

    Yes, 32 is the best age for a goalkeeper.

    In the first video (Tremmel - Salzburg) the commentator says at the beginning: "with 80% parried shots Tremmel is the best goalkeeper in Austria".

    I hope for both Celtic and Tremmel that the transfer will work!

    i dont know anything about this guy but i would rather we signed a keeper that had a bit of experience especially as we are quite a young team. Abit of experience in a few positions would help the team.

    Tremmel doesnt have little experience - Europa League, Champions League Qualifying, Bundesliga, Austrian Bundesliga..
    I think he is ready to rock the SPL ;-)

    Tremmel looks like a quality keeper in those videos, but obviously, they don't show his weaknesses. Some of the one on one saves he pulled off there were very Boruc-esque. He could be what we're looking for. At 32 years of age, he's probably at the best age for a goalkeeper, as we know that keepers traditionally get better once they get into their 30's.

    Has anyone got an update on this and whether or not Lennon is going to step up and offer him the chance to come here?

    CottbusBhoy, in the youtube videos he looks like a good shot stopped and good in 1v1 situations. But what are his weaknesses?

    Surely he's be at a big german club by the age of 32 if he was quality and experienced.

    I still hope there's nothing in this story. As I said, I've also seen him play a lot this season and I'm not convinced ... however, if he signs for us I'll be happy to see him prove me wrong.

    Of course he is. Why shouldnt he? There arent any goalkeepers in Bundesliga that are not good at catching the ball ;-)


    Must.Be.Me, of course, nobody is perfect. Everyone has his own weaknesses just like everyone has his strengths but to be honest I cannot spontaneously mention any weaknesses of him.

    I've never seen him play . Looks good in the video , but then again my Sunday league performances could be made to make me look great . Doesn't mean anything .
