Roma have struck an agreement with Barcelona to sign Bojan Krkic, according to Catalunya Radio.

The Spanish striker has been strongly linked with a move to the Italian capital club for the past weeks as Luis Enrique looks to fine-tune his recently-inherited side.

It is believed that the player will only pen a contract with Roma next week, when the European Under-21 Championship in Denmark has come to an end.

Reports in Spain indicate Roma with pay €10 million [£8.8m] for the 20-year-old, with Barcelona keeping an option to re-sign the striker.

A spokesperson for Barcelona will reportedly announce on Wednesday the results of the decisive meeting which included a club official from both Barcelona and Roma, as well as the player's agent, Ramon Sostre.

i heard that the buy back fee would be only around £10m so if he does well at roma, then this could be good for barca

Good signing for Roma. He is still a very promising player but couldn't develop anymore at Barca with all their superstars ahead of him

Was never going to get the playing time he needs at barca.
Great move for him because he will be able to fulfill his massive potential, not just saying that I really do rate the lad.

Average players don't play 100 games before they're 20 for this Barcelona side.

With a couple of seasons under his belt I reckon he'll be back at Barca.

It was reported that he scored more than 900 goals for the youth teams in five and a half years. Now thats impressive if true

He should have been what Pedro is now, or at least thats what most people thought, but has seems to have stalled, then again most players would struggle to break the trio of Messi, Etoo and Henry / Messi, Villa and Pedro . He needs to be playing at his age to take his game to another level. Luis Enrique will play him every week thats for sure. Good bit of business by Barca imo

As Barry Robson said , he was never going to get into a team with the likes of Messi, Villa , Henry , Eto'o etc.

Hopefully this move to Roma will further his career and help him develop and make up for the years he has stalled at Barca , then he will be back doing the biz at the Nou Camp.

I remember seeing him years ago in one of the youth tournaments when he was 14 or 15 on Europsport and he was hyped up and a quality player. Ripped everyone apart even though he was one of the youngest there never seems to have progressed although hes a decent player as bacck-up at Barca but Pedro is a lot better than him.

Making way for another signing, Rossi or Sanchez by the looks of it. Either would be an improvement on Bojan.

Hopefully Rossi as I think he'd be excellent linking up with Messi, Xavi and Iniesta and could score 30 a season. Sanchez seems like a more individualist sand-dancer.

Barca need the money. The buy-option is HUGE on this deal. It means, once they've got their house back in order, a return could be on the cards for the young Catalan. Hopefully, he'll have a good time in Rome and in a few years can come back to Barcelona to claim his place.

Believe the hype do you? Just because he played for Barca doesn't mean he was good enough for them. That's why they sold him. Wes Brown has played plenty of games for Man Utd, as has O'Shea. Both average players. :bbpd:

At every level up to senior Bojan was head and shoulders above Pedro. He has the talent to be a first team starter at Camp Nou hence the buy back clause.

Pedro stepped up a gear, it might be down to attitude or just hard graft but Bojan is quality and has the potential to be world class.

He can't even make the Spain under-21 team. Nowhere near good enough for Barcelona.
