How do you rate our contribution to the website? Anyone surprised or anything with what we know. It's pretty common for everyone to think us yanks are stupid, and no nothing about "soccer".

I'm bored yeah so thought I would get some opinions.:50::icon_mrgreen:

The American users are no different from any other user, if you're a Celtic fan then you're just the same as the other Celtic fans in here, and I've seen alot of Americans who are good posters aswell.

    I've always liked America too.

I know, was thinking about a time I was in London. As soon as they knew I was an American. They got on their high horse saying I know * all about real football etc

It's interesting to get a different perspective on matters, but any poster from anywhere can provide that to be fair.

Don't think Americans are stupid when it comes to football, some might be but so are some Scots so it's not an automatic assumption I make.

I'm just pleased that our club has support over there. I'm curious as to how often, if ever our North American posters are able to get to matches.

I admire our American Tims. To take such a keen interest in the Bhoys when you live so far away from Scotland is a great thing and I like to see it. :50:

I go over to Scotland about six times year for a few weeks every time. I try to attend as many games as possible with my Scots family. I've also been down to Anfield and the Stadium of Light. Just wanted the premiership experience :50:

    Can't beat Celtic Park :celt_2:

Markey - My mother is from Dublin and my father Scotland so it was drilled into me from day one. :50:

Isn't the term yanks used to insult them?
And btw most US and Canadian americans have a european backgrounds so I don't think europeans and americans are that different.

You probably know this, but for the other users: the term "Yanks" is said to refer to the Dutch in America (Jan Kees)...

Not really, although it depends on where you're from. Americans call Northerners yankees, which for me as a Southerner makes it kind of weird to be called one. If it was that offensive New York wouldn't have named one of their baseball teams the Yankees. :icon_mrgreen:

As to Minty's question, I got to go to the Seattle game last year. Had a friend who lived up there so just made a short little trip out of it. Really was one of the best vacations I've ever taken and it was borderline religious seeing them play. I don't think it's possible to describe how weird it is to see the hoops live when you've been watching them on TV from the same vantage point for the better part of a decade.

I was also at the Fenway game with we played Sporting. As Fenway is only five minutes away from my work.

Oooh, I just see you live in San Diego. I was there in the summer of 2008, what an extremely beautiful city that is. :50:

Lucky *. It is definitely one of my ambitions to get over to Boston and take in a Red Sox game at Fenway.

Make sure you're in the Green Monster for your first time mate. :50: To be honest the game was a let down. Pitch wasn't good enough and the "fans" were a load of * ! Baseball stadiums just aren't built for football. It would of been better at the Gillette stadium. :icon_mrgreen:

Season ticket older at Fenway though :52:

Unfortunately I'm about to leave it for possibly the dirtiest and most unpleasant city in the great state of California. :54: At least for another two years.

I was at the fenway game too, was to the left of the Manhattan CSC, great game and good to see so many people of different backgrounds who were hoops followers
