bit of an obscure one, but Sno of all people I remember during the AC Milan game were three players try to box him in but he managed to control the ball really well and then skip through them.

Aye, that was the day Zurawski scored and we won 0-1 wasn't it? School was in session that day.

Yup, the very one. We strolled through that game. It was like a training session.

Not for you it wasn't you old * :56::56::56::56::icon_mrgreen:

I mind Stephen McManus' first game for Celtic - didn't know it was him when he came running out on the pitch (might have been Motherwell away).....I thought big Stan Varga had shaved off his hair!

Couple of Jan Vennegoor moments that weren't the title-winning goals. The one in that 2-1 game where he scored in the last minute, the only time he ever ran in his Celtic career was to chase Novo down and chop him. Best yellow card ever.

The other was when he had just missed a penalty late into extra time against Spartak, I think he smacked the bar trying to place it but he put himself forward for the shootout and tried the same thing and hit it perfectly, right into the top corner with power & precision. To this day it's the best penalty I've ever seen. He showed real balls to go up and take that and it was all the sweeter when he tried the same thing and it came off the second time.

Phil O'Donnell's debut. Scottish lad, making a few waves at a smaller Scottish club then gets his dream move to Celtic.

I was at Firhill for his debut and he was head and shoulders above everyone that day.

He scored 2 goals and I thought we were onto a winner, a real proper Tim who could go onto great things.

He would have as well if it wasn't for his horrendous injury record, I truly believe that.

Brilliant memories watching that penalty shoot out. Seeing Tommy Burns there and seeing the Holy Goalie make the final save to put us through. Fantastic.

Stephen mcmanus when he threw himself head first at the foot of one the Huns to stop what was a guaranteed goal it just summed the big man up and the walls he would run through to make sure we competed

Was that last season I vaguely remember him doing something like that. I love to see player's showing that level of commitment as much as it's dangerous it shows that there willing to put there body on the line for the club and it's not something you really see in modern day football

Or the season before, he was partnering Big Maj anyway and was covering up one of his * ups. Was quite awesome, didn't think Glenn had it in him.

I big Glenda never came across as the type of player to put his body on the line but he seemed like big Sammy and zaluska in that he came to love the club

Does anyone have a link to when O'Neill walked over to the fans at Ibrox with Lennon? Can remember this but haven't seen it in years.

My next moment would also go with a question. I dont remember which game it was and would be so happy if anybody can remember, but it must have been in the first half of last season. In that time Sammy showed his class not often enough and was our scapegoat but his willing to do better was obvious to see. And at the end of one match as he was walking to the tunnel he looked to the green brigade corner and pointed to his heart/chest and saluted the fans, even after all the stick he got he earned so much respect from me with his commitment and love for the club and the fans.
