i definetly heard oo ah up the ra at half time. we need to drop it from the songbook, it does the club no good. cant wait to hear how the bbc try to taint some of the other songs we sing. i'd like them to mention a list of songs that offended them.

People need to stop trying to be offended by anything and everything.

I just got the same reply twice, they are just sending the same bullshit e-mail to everyone. They just said some believe it to be sectarian, why can't they just accept that it isn't sectarian, they didn't actually express their personal views on the matter.

Why? A couple of arseholes made a mistake calling it sectarian. Teach them what the word means and get on with it.

If it were just this one isolated incident then I would agree with you, but it is not. Basically Rankers have been shown up this season for what they are, and the BBC (who have a tradition of sectarianism in their hiring policy btw) tried to tar us with the same brush.

They want it so much to be an old firm problem, but it is not! Its their problem and not ours.

Sorry, but can't see Rob McLean and Pat Nevin being hired to paint Celtic in a bad light.

They're idiots, they made a mistake. Move on.

Aye it had been that long I didnt think I was going to get a reply at all.

I did not say that they were hired to paint celtic in a bad light. They take instruction from a director. Rob McLean would have been prompted to bring up the subject. I, nor anyone else, believe that those two are the ones responsible.

    Good for you.

So you are offended by a no-mark football pundit wrongly labelling offensive and inflammatory chanting as sectarian? Trying to take the moral high-ground in a situation that involves our club singing about terrorists over a poorly worded half-time comment is disgusting. We should get our own house in order before we get BBC Scotland in our crosshairs.

Said it before Rangers and their fans have been (rightly so ) targeted and there has been a lot of * about how its only them and yeah i defend the fact that the singing isnt sectarian although technically distasteful to me and some others BUT rest assured rangers will look to have the spotlight shone on us too and unless we are mindfull it could cost the club . I could sit in the company of any of ya and you could sing away and it wouldnt offend me even though i would never sing along nor am i interested in it all to be honest BUT withing celtic park and while following celtic it could become a problem and thats what bothers me

Just received the same reply. I'm quite sure if all the letters / e-mails of complaint had been the same text they wouldn't have been taken seriously. The least they could have done was to answer the points raised by the individual complainants, as I'm sure not all complaints were the same.

No mention of why no comments were made by commentators at the CIS final where there was blatant sectarian singing, e.g "The Famine is Over", etc.

Returning to the original point, if their commentators and pundits don't know what songs are sectarian, they clearly shouldn't be commenting on them. They also state that the commentators said it was the "minority" of Celtic supporters that were singing the so-called sectarian songs. This is also incorrect, as on the day of the relevant match the commentators said it was "the Celtic supporters", not the minority.

I strongly believe that Celtic should pursue this matter until a full apology is received.

I can't speak for jacqui, but yes, i am offended that two arseholes working for the bbc whilst on air in a big cup fina,l where they know plenty of neutrals are watching, have come out with blatant lies about the songs me, and 20,000 other Celtic fans were singing that day, in a pathetic attempt to tar us with the same brush, in front of everyone watching......... and before you go out spouting blatant lies, claiming we were singing about terrorists....read your history, learn what your talking about and get your facts right.

Get our own house in order?... * sake.

That isn't sectarian. I will chant when I want. Where I want.
