    Outside of Commons, Kayal, Izaguirre and Hooper (who get all the praise.) He is our best player.

    He started a bit slowly, but after settling in I thought he was excellent next to Kayal. Hopefully it will be a partnership that will reap rewards next season.

    I'll admit, early in the season I didn't give him the credit he was due, thought he was kindofa a non-presence but by season's end you could see what he offered. It's no coincidence that Izzy looked a bit shakey after Ledley went out. I would almost guarantee we'd have won the league had he not been injured for the ICT debacle. Holds the midfield together and was able to get forward and chip in a few goals at the end of the season. Lynchpin in the center of the park if you ask me.

    People who dont know football dont like players like Ledley, one of our best players all season and i still cant believe we got him on a free! Keeps the team ticking over and is box to box for 90mins, closing down and generally just working his * off!

    Just watch Ledley, dont look for him to do anything flashy with the ball, but try keep an eye on him at matches, he is incredible!

    I had to look at the date this was posted twice because surely you are not going on the evidence of last season

    Thought he was good hard worker and will become a big player for us next season, plus his attitude, advice to the younger and potential welsh players coming to celtic

    First half of the season he was *. Everyone gave him so much * for being invisble and all that. In the second half of the season i think he got better. No where near good enough to be POTY but certainly not crap

    This guy runs non-stop for 90 mins, he is the main man in our midfeild. You have been clearly watching something different. As already said, he is one of the reason Izzy is so effective, as he covers him when he bombs forward. His work rate and ball distribution is 2nd to none, he never gives the ball away. Threads like this bull my balls.

    We missed him when he got injured, we could of done way him at Inverness the night we got beat. Keeps it simple good player, great ball for Samaras' 1st goal at ibrox.

    i think he adds maturity and cohesion to our midfield and i guarantee celtic players prefer when joe's in there in the starting eleven - he has got quality and im expecting joe to kick on next season and really dominate in the middle....

    with his qualities i think he could really help us in europe also...

    imo its fans who dont understand the game and the important role he plays for us that are questioning what he brings to the table...
