if he's fit and with the team full time (none of this commuting *) then he's a quality addition

i admit i wanted (and still do) a younger player but i dont blame lenny for not passing up the chance to make a deal for bellamy, when fit he is a top quality player :50:

Think this is the most advanced it has been compared to the previous rumours, both teams confirming it and everything, looks like a deal about to be done.

    I know.

Someone asks Mancini "Would you allow Bellamy to go on loan to Celtic", he says yes (as if he's gonna answer no ) and suddenly there's all these heiders giving it, "Bellers defo comin now 4 sure!" and drawing up team sheets with him on it. :56:

    Agree with all that.

Will be hard on stokes if he gets dropped though.

If we can afford Bellamy's wages - which I don't believe for a minute - then we should spend that money on a goalkeeper.

in my opinion Bellamy is a far far better player than stokes. I watched him at man city 2 seasons ago in the flesh and the runs he made and workrate off the ball was fantastic. things you dont see on tv. Also he was the best player on the pitch. I take your point of why for just one year. But i dont think he is going to play every game and the rotation of the strikers could work out perfectly for us. ok, it may be expensive, but if it wins us the league, gets us a run in europe, and maybe even attracts a better class of player to Celtic, then i'm all for it.

I like Bellamy but let's face it he's going to the club that pays him the most!

i'm sure if the clubs are talking then they'll be some haggling on wages; perhaps desmond might cough up

i agree that a goalie should be the priority though like i said before, lennon would be silly to not at least ask about bellamy when the clubs are in the same city

bellamy is quality when fit and we all know we need more of that up front; its all very well saying hooper and stokes are our main men (which they are) but if one gets injured things aren't quite so rosy with sammy and murphy as back up so looking into a possible deal is really a no brainer for lennon

To be honest, we don't even know that the clubs are talking.

We know that talks "have taken place" but Mancini doesn't say when that was - could have been months ago. Sounds to me like he's just trying to keep all options open. I feel people are reading way too much into this.

Mind you, we did sign Robbie Keane on a loan deal, so there's always a possibility, however slim.

I don't think Bellers will be going away to ANY club permanently as his contract is up at the end of the season and he has stated he would like to go back to cardiff at the end of the year so i think he will go on loan to someone who knows maybe us

Am pretty sure Neil will have spoken to Mancini today about him. Even if it was unofficial to see what the lie of the land is with him.

Bellamy is real quality and the sort of player we need.

So you want to change the starting 11 every game? Crazy idea. You need to have a settled first 11.

Your 100% right mate. The team that ended the season was nowhere near like the one that started. Players will come in and out through injury, suspension and drop in form.

Some people seem concerned that their favourites - Ki, Kayal, Ledley, Commons, Brown(?) etc are going to miss out if Bellamy comes.

The truth is that Bellamy is class and will help these players improve and keep everyone on their toes.
