Aye, with bells on, it would destroy rangers to have their captain choose us, it would also destroy Le Guen that he'd strengthened us.

Lets be honest, Ferguson in the Lennon role would make us better over a season, the two of them fighting for that place would mean our midfield would be strong again.

Quality player, he'd be an asset and has still got a good few years left in him.

    I'd take him.

He'd have to live in a bunker and hire bodyguards if he did sign for us.:84:

Remember, no player has ever went DIRECTLY from one side of Glasgow to the other. What a slap in the face for the orcs it would be though.

it would be funny but I don't want a hun at celtic it's going against the old firm relationship and taking the fun away from the game

No I wouldn't want him. I said earlier that I didn't have a problem with Pressley (other than him being distinctly average) but that doesn't mean there aren't any players that I think it would be wrong to sign. He is too much of a Rangers man through and through, a large section of the support wouldn't accept it and it would cause such a rumpus that I don't know how easy it would be for him to settle and get on with his game. As it happens I don't think he's all that good either. I am not saying he's * but he lacks that final 25% of quality for me.

think he has lost his captain band and played his last game for them:34:

    Ferguson of captaincy

Barry Ferguson has had his disagreements with Paul Le Guen
Barry Ferguson has been stripped of the Rangers captaincy and BBC Sport understands that he has played his last game under manager Paul Le Guen.
A statement from Rangers said: "Paul Le Guen has confirmed he has chosen, on this occasion, to drop Barry Ferguson for tomorrow's game.

"And the captaincy will be given to Gavin Rae."

Le Guen is not expected to expand on his reasons until after the match against Motherwell at Fir Park.

The sensational move follows a row with Ferguson after Saturday's disappointing 1-1 draw at home to St Mirren.

Le Guen and Ferguson had also had a recent disagreement over the importance of the club captaincy and matters came to a head at a meeting on Monday.

The latest news comes after more pressure mounted on the Frenchman with Rangers sit third in the Scottish Premier League, 17 points adrift of city rivals and reigning champions Celtic.

The manager obviously knows that, by taking such a decision, he has put his neck on the line

Jim Templeton of the Rangers Supporters' Assembly

And the signings made by Le Guen since taking over from Alex McLeish in the summer have failed to make a positive impression.

But, despite league results unacceptable to many Rangers fans, Ferguson has been in excellent and inspirational form.

There have been increasing rumours of a personality clash between the captain and manager and of splits between the club's Scottish and French players.

It is the second time that Le Guen has shown that he does not accept anyone questioning his authority.

Unbelivable! 8 people out of 19 voted yes, I can't believ this!! Weeks ago the lot of ye were taking the mickey out of him, saying how much you hate him and now, for the mere ridiculous GIRFUY cenario, you'd like to have him?!? He's a hun, this one really IS a die hard hun, have you no pride?? Is the rivalry suddenly become nothing to ye?? He hates us and we hate him, how could you even think of having him?? He'd have no place in our starting 11 so it can't be a question of him being good. I think it would hurt alot of celtic fans just as much as the lot of the huns to bring such a * on our team, just so we can watch the huns faces, it isn't worth it.

I would sign him because even though he is a hun he is an alright player. Don't think he would come though.

I would take him for the sheer mind blowing shock of it and the fatal morale blow to the teds. He would be mad to do it but Mo Johnston showed some people are willing to (literally) risk their neck. On a purely technical level, he would be a usefull player. Although he is Mr Rangers, I never thought he was actually in the Ian Ferguson uber-hun mould. I think he is even married to a tim. Would have to go though triple dozes of that purification process someone posted in the summer for Kenny though:50: .

I am glad you mentioned the Judas. How did we feel about Judas and the Forces of Darkness when that happened ? We are better than them and should not stoop to their level. We don't need him, we've got better players than him already.

Don't really want to make a habit of signing players from Rangers as it will make a mockery of the old firm rivialry is players sign for each other within battering an eye lid

    Totally different situation mate.

Judas and his Agent Orange screwed us over when they allowed themselves to be paraded at CP with the hoops, knowing full well that nothing was done and dusted.

Celtic should never have allowed it.

Have we got that many central midfielders better than him? To my mind we've only got 2, and 1 of them will probably leave in the summer.

It'll never happen anyway, his life would not be worth living if he signed for us.

    What are you on about?

I've already stated that nobody has ever crossed over DIRECTLY, there are not many rivalries which can claim that.
