Read "* at the Breech" by Tom Franklin recently.
Story, based in history, of a feud between * poor cotton farmers and the towns people of Mitcham Beat in Alabama in 1897. Franklin conjures images that stay in the mind and paints a pretty gruesome picture of the people and times.
Could have been written by Cormac McCarthy. 10/10

Enjoyed a re read of Morgan Llywelyn's The Greener Shore which is the sequal to her earlier Druids one of her best books.

Few chapters into 19th century comedy 'three men in a boat' by Jerome K. Jerome, really enjoyable so far.

Warming up for 18th century comedy Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy which brilliant supposedly.

Few i've read recent and would recommend..

James Kelman- If it is your life
    Ronnie O'Sullivan- Running
People of the abyss- Jack London
and M I. Kalinin-selection of speeches on communist education was v impressive

    Sporting books I really enjoyed:-

Andre Agassi's book is excellent even if you don't like Tennis.

    Tony Cascarino's is excellent too

Friday Night Lights is really good too and I'm no American Football fan.
