Finished a re read of Paul McGrath's biography Back From The Brink. Easily the best football biography I have ever read. If you have not read it get a copy. Unreal what was going on in his life off the field and he is amazingly open and honest about his alcoholism.

Aye it is, His Sci-Fi novels are fantastic as are his other works. Consider Phlebus is a good book to start with, Lots of back story on the Culture, the war and the other alien species and some absolutely fantastic action scenes in the book. It's one of the shorter books in the series but I think it has a lot of punch to it, it's another book I got through quickly because it was so hard to put down at stages.

Reading it just now. Easy to read and funny in parts. Bit cheeky doing an auto when you're 28

I've only just started it, page 90-odd and I'm really enjoying it.

I think the reason I like him so much is that I can really relate to the stuff he talks about. His childhood, hating nursery, Irish background, Celtic, and all these other little things he says. Reminds me alot of my family and life.
