Definitely Given. Although he's 35 I think that he still has 4 good years of playing.

I would like Forster to stay, young goalkeeper who has did well with lots of potential. Newcastle have already said they wont sell. Shay Given at 35, I dont think we should pay the wages he will command. As an alternative is Paul Robinson of Blackburn . He stated he would consider his future if Blackburn were relegated, although they stayed up I dont think he would relish another relegation battle at this point in his career. Hes 31.

35 is not old for a keeper of given's quality, hes still got 3/4 years left in him, which means if we got him, thats 3/4 years of him tutoring a hot prospect into as good a goalkeeper as he is only 10+years younger, hes at the only stage in his career apart from when he was young that we have any hope of getting him. Paying more for a player than you normally would and winning the championship = gamble well paid, we tried it with keane and it didn't work out but that shouldn't deter us from having someone of his quality for a longer spell than 6 months.

Yes, Boruc is a legend but what about the mistakes he started to make at the end of his Celtic career? The time he made 2 mistakes against Hibs at Easter Road, he was finished then. Love the big guy though :shamrock:

Lay off the crack son. Boruc is one of the best keepers we've had here in the last 20 years, if not more.

    No he wasn't.

That match was in the 2007/2008 season when we won 3 in a row. Artur Boruc was outstanding that season and went on to be the best goalkeeper in the European Championships the following summer.

If you're going to slag him at least get your facts right.

What if he was to come back and play the way he did from 2005-2008.....would you take him back then?

Absolutely 100%, positively, certainly, no doubt about it, Artur Boruc, Alot better than Fraser Forster...younger than Shay, and not injury prone, a fans favourite, a hero..

anyone who thinks Forster is better than Shay and Artur, needs to have their head checked :84:
