Got to be Chris Sutton for me. He was my first ever celtic hero. My first jersey has his name and number on the back.

Henrik wins pretty much every poll on this forum so it was inevitable what was going to happen here. It would have been really interesting to see who people's favourite Celt other than Henrik was. That's what I should have made the poll.

But, surely, if Henrik is the favourite Celt, then he is the favourite Celt?

It's a bit of a mockery otherwise and would be pretty pointless. I'm in my 40's and he's the best player I have ever seen at CP.

For me the best Celtic player ever must have been Jimmy McGrory, but telly or youtube wasn't around at that time.

Och I know that mate. I'm not taking anything away from Henrik.

It's just that it would have been a more interesting poll if I'd have left Henrik out of it. I am now left with no idea who people's second choice would have been. I would like to have seen who people would have went for.

I said Lenny because he has been one of my favourite players since I started really supporting Celtic and can always remember him in Seville and the MON years. He has been through more than enough, just so can still be involved with the Club he loves, and has brought something back that's been missing from Celtic for a while-Thunder.
Larsson because he is the King ,for all the memories, and just being a complete professional and fantastic role model. He had everything I like about a footballer.
Mentioned the rest because I felt I couldn't leave them out, deserved honourable mentions

Like I said in my very first post, I can't pick one. They're all heroes for one reason or another.

If Larsson wasn't in the poll I would've picked Lennon.

I meant Scotland was producing a conveyor belt of talent that we hoover up from wee sides.

Jock Stein would have been my 2nd choice.

No, you said that we were producing talent for the top sides...

To the same extent as we are just now, by your reasoning.

Now, who were the 4 sides, apart from us who were competing with Europe's top sides in the 80's?

I'd have gone for Lambert if I wasn't allowed to vote for Henrik.

Don't think I need to really explain Henrik but will. Best striker I've seen play for the Hoops. Incredibly player who was involved in some of our most historic moments:

    Stopping 10 in a row.
    Our third Treble.
    Record SPL points tally.
    Seville.
    The Whitewash over Rangers.
Top goal scorer in the SPL 4/5 seasons. Losing out on one because of a horrific injury.

One of the few players I've seen go on to have success after leaving the Hoops two. Earning 2 La Liga medals, an EPL and a CL medal.
